Opinions on this …. Did these two cyclists commit an offence by crossing the cycle lane without allowing the cyclist to pass on the cycle lane? They were in the road…. Should they have allowed the cyclist using the cycle to pass before turning ?

Sct 29 RTA 1988 : Careless cycling. If a motor vehicle did that, it would be careless driving.

If a car had done what those cyclists did a cyclist such as Jeremy Whine would say the car was completely at fault. A bike is a vehicle in the same way a car is a vehicle so should follow the same rules. Don't know if it is an offence, but they shouldn't have done it.

morally at least they should have and ‘cyclists travelling straight on have priority’ (actually that was rejected in 2020) Also l believe a certain action was missing:

So all that money spent to make cycling safter own lanes they litterly leave it to get more speed
