Our education system must be inclusive. People with intellectual disabilities must be empowered to continue their education journey after school, to grow, develop, gain confidence & choose their next steps. Today we make a major announcement to ensure this can happen

Working on this for the last number of years, listening to people with disabilities, their families and our universities has been an honour. From next September we will now see a massive increase in educational opportunity at 3rd level for people with intellectual disabilities

How do you feel about those children with scoliosis who are still waiting for the life changing/saving surgery they need?

I hope if you ever need surgery that a person with intellectual disabilities performs the operation. It is important to be inclusive after all.
