Our first U.S. Wildland Fire Service contracted Large Airtanker is officially in service, strengthening our aviation capability and providing another powerful tool to support firefighters who are working tirelessly on the ground. This C-130 airtanker carries up to 4,000 gallons of fire retardant, increasing our ability to deliver greater volumes of retardant and provide critical aerial support during wildfire response. Known for its versatility and ability to operate from shorter runways, the C-130 can reach demanding environments and support wildfire response where it’s needed most. As part of the national interagency effort, this aircraft bolsters the extensive firefighting fleet, helping us respond more swiftly and effectively to emerging fires. And this is just the beginning, this aircraft is the first in a series of Large Airtankers joining the U.S. Wildland Fire Service fleet. ✈️🇺🇸🇬🇧 The UK Ministry of Defence announced on March 27 the receipt of the 48th F-35B tactical fighter. This delivery marks the completion of the first batch of purchases of aircraft of this type. In total, London intends to acquire 138 F-35 aircraft. The contract for the start of deliveries as part of the second stage of purchases has not yet been signed. It is expected that part of the F-35B will be delivered in the F-35A version, intended for training and improving the skills of personnel. It is also assumed that the aircraft will be adapted for the carriage of B61 nuclear bombs.

Air India Statement Air India welcomes back stranded passengers from Dubai on flight AI916D that landed at 1058 hrs IST at Delhi Airport. The aircraft, VT-EDC, ferried a total of 149 passengers. This is the first flight operated by an Indian carrier for the homecoming of passengers amid the ongoing situation in the Middle East. Earlier this morning, 143 cockpit and cabin crew members of Air India and Air India Express who were stranded in Dubai safely arrived back in Delhi on flight AI918D. Our Operations Control Centre and supporting teams have been working around the clock to facilitate these flights in extraordinary circumstances, ensuring seamless coordination throughout. We express our sincere gratitude to the Government of India, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and the local authorities in Dubai for their continued cooperation in enabling these vital operations. We remain deeply committed to the safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew, which continues to be our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation, and we are in close contact with Dubai Airports and other relevant authorities to operate more flights at the earliest opportunity, as and when permissible.
