Savings essentially mean cuts which you have not highlighted Poverty is high Disabled costs are above the level of benefits received LHA needs to be unfrozen as rents are above 8% Making chronically unwell people work or engage in programs, with pos. sanctions is not good 😬

And the key, what about getting employers to hire people with disabilities? If you can't get that it's all just rubbish. What about access to work waiting times, NHS, social services etc? All needs to be in line to work.

Plenty of whistleblowers within your own department demonstrating this is an attack on the disabled…… We already know how those with PIP have been treated so badly so dressing this up doesn’t cut it

You already penalise disabled people who want to work. My assessor used my disability scholarship against me for my first pip application. Which thankfully tribunal could see was ridiculous

The system does need reforming, sanctions are punitive and your treatement of disabled and sick people has been appealing, including deaths and investigations What’s not need is to look at reforms with making savings as a goal at the cost of peoples lives

Jobs and careers ✅ Skills, education and training ✅ Physical & mental health ✅ Housing ✅ Children, parenting & relationships ✅ Disability and caring responsibilities ✅ + more Help people to cope with life’s ups and downs 🫂 Build trusting relationships with people 💞 Support people with a focus on LIFE so that people can (with support) thrive on their own terms 💚 At the end of the day, sanctions, treating people unfairly and making their lives a misery has never worked. It’s time to do things differently. Love, kindness, compassion, empathy, respect, support and trust is a better way, and the way forward is to put LIFE, and all it’s difficulties and joys at the heart of Government policy. And the amazing thing? It will benefit everyone. It’ll create a system everyone is proud of. A system that is human.
