A democracy is a political system in which people periodically by majority vote, at the poll, select their rulers. The rulers then have absolute power to make whatever laws they please buy majority vote among themselves. Our Founding Fathers did not take up arms over taxes alone. They overthrew a tyrannical government that planted spies in their communities and violated their liberties. Those men would be appalled by what is happening to our Constitutional freedoms today.
