Every night and every day, they intercept Russian Shahed drones and missiles. This morning, they successfully shot down a Russian ballistic missile. Every success like this saves lives. Ukraine is deeply grateful to all our partners who provide interceptor missiles and air defense systems. We are currently working to secure additional supplies—missiles, defense systems, and everything necessary to strengthen our mobile fire groups. This past week alone, the Russians have launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs, and 17 missiles of various types against Ukraine. We need to step up our countermeasures against these attacks. We are preparing for meetings with partners to strengthen our defense against this Russian terror. The G7, EU, and NATO summits are ahead. And it is very important that these negotiations result in concrete decisions. We expect meaningful meetings with our partners. Our kids live their childhoods under Russian attacks in shelters. We weren't able to protect all of Ukraine but we had the opportunity to use Patriot air defense systems in large cities to shoot down Russian missiles. These systems literally saved countless lives of Ukrainian civilians. And we are immensely grateful for that. If we don't get missiles for Patriot systems, it will be much, much harder to protect our people, our kids. Russia doesn't stop its attacks.

On the diplomatic front, we are working hard not only to counter Russian influence, but also to persuade partners to increase their supply of air defense systems and missiles. The other issue is the availability of weapons and ammunition for our frontline warriors to carry out current and future missions in the coming months. We are well aware of what Russia is preparing for. They are war-sick and will not stop themselves. And we make every effort to have sufficient capabilities to counter them.

I have already spoken with the Commander-in-Chief about what is needed to enhance the safety of our cities. We are speaking with all our partners about providing additional air defense systems. We have proven to all our partners both the need, and more importantly, the possibility of providing greater protection of lives. This week alone, the Russians have launched more than 1,700 attack drones, over 1,380 guided aerial bombs, and 69 missiles of various types. Every massive attack by Russia can become devastating. That is why missiles for air defense systems are needed every day, and we continue working with the United States and Europe to ensure stronger protection of our skies. Today in Vilnius, we are coordinating with our partners in the region – Lithuania and Poland. We are working with every leader to strengthen Ukraine. Everyone must clearly understand the threat coming from Russia, and it is our nations who understand this best. I thank everyone who is helping us stand strong.
