I am deeply grateful to all our partners who support us with air defense systems and missiles. This is a truly global effort. Every time Russia carries out such attacks, it underscores how critical it is that partners don’t leave systems like Patriot and others sitting idle in warehouses, but instead provide them to those who know how to protect lives and urgently need them. We still haven’t received all the necessary systems from our allies—but we continue to work toward that goal. Once these systems are in place, our ability to repel attacks will be much stronger. One more thing: The plan for strengthening Ukraine is the Victory Plan that I presented to our partners. One of its key elements is providing our army with long-range capabilities. I want to express gratitude to our air defense warriors—every individual in the various types and branches of our forces who protect our skies. Every night and every day, they intercept Russian Shahed drones and missiles. This morning, they successfully shot down a Russian ballistic missile. Every success like this saves lives. Ukraine is deeply grateful to all our partners who provide interceptor missiles and air defense systems. We are currently working to secure additional supplies—missiles, defense systems, and everything necessary to strengthen our mobile fire groups. Our strategic goal is to reach a practical level of cooperation with our partners that allows us to produce the air defense systems and interceptor missiles we need here in Ukraine. The strike may take place today – we have preliminary information that it could happen within the next 48 hours. Please take care of yourselves and pay attention to air raid alerts. This past week alone, the Russians have launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided aerial bombs, and 17 missiles of various types against Ukraine. Our kids live their childhoods under Russian attacks in shelters. We weren't able to protect all of Ukraine but we had the opportunity to use Patriot air defense systems in large cities to shoot down Russian missiles. These systems literally saved countless lives of Ukrainian civilians. And we are immensely grateful for that. If we don't get missiles for Patriot systems, it will be much, much harder to protect our people, our kids. Russia doesn't stop its attacks.

On the diplomatic front, we are working hard not only to counter Russian influence, but also to persuade partners to increase their supply of air defense systems and missiles. The other issue is the availability of weapons and ammunition for our frontline warriors to carry out current and future missions in the coming months. We are well aware of what Russia is preparing for. They are war-sick and will not stop themselves. And we make every effort to have sufficient capabilities to counter them.

All six Kalibr missiles were shot down last night, and 31 out of 33 cruise missiles were intercepted, meaning whenever the necessary capabilities are available, our warriors deliver truly high interception rates. That is the only explanation for the problem with ballistic missiles – insufficient number of interceptors. This is especially true for Patriots. We have proven to all our partners both the need, and more importantly, the possibility of providing greater protection of lives. It is simply nonsensical that, in today’s world, production has still not been scaled up to the level that is actually needed to protect people from ballistic terror. We have done a lot to transition the Ukrainian Air Force to a new aviation standard – Western combat aviation. From the beginning of this war, we have been talking with our partners about the need to close the Ukrainian sky from Russian missiles and aircraft. We have held hundreds of meetings and negotiations to strengthen the capabilities of our aviation, air defense, and Defense Forces. We often heard the word "impossible" in response, but we made possible what was our ambition, our defense need, and now – it is a reality in our sky. F-16s in Ukraine. We ensured this.
