My gp recommended 2 pumps. No where near enough for me. So I started experimenting myself. Slowly. I am now on 6 pumps. That seems to help. For now anyway.

Any thoughts on body size / weight / BMI / composition? Is there any evidence to prescribe mg/kg for example?

I’ve been on the patch for 5 years, 0,5 the last year. As a last effort to see if there was anything left for me to try to get any better, we measured my oestrogen. I’m 60, postmenopausal for around 6 -7 years. My level was 0,09 - the upper range for postmenopausal here is 0,59

Also variety between gel + patch absorption of same prescription

Thanks for all you do. I’m lucky that 4 is enough - though I weigh it as the pumps are not accurate and underdose. My GP checks my levels for O snd T every 6 months.

The oestrogel new white pumps are not fit for purpose. They don’t dispense the right dose. I’ve complained to Besins and they’ve ’investigated’ but say nothing is wrong. I’ve proven it by weighing all my doses.

I’m still navigating through this! How do you know what the right amount of oestradiol is? 🤔

Why has New Zealand dollar to euro decreased last days

Omg finally!! I suffered with patches - wearing 2-3 of them and my levels wouldn’t budge above 50. The abuse of women in peri and post is outrageous. Ladies - consider injections!

As you know the GP’s won’t undertake blood tests as they say they’re not accurate so what do we do? Again we’re on our own trying to navigate and hope we administer the correct amount through gels or patches etc. This is the exact reason why we end up coming off the treatment 😔
