Completely right. Am mid forties, personally, and for at least a decade have assumed that I wouldn't be getting a state pension. Everyone my age and younger should plan for this very likely eventuality.

It's actually worse than this. Young people, facing the chronic housing shortage we created, are having to fund not only my triple-locked pension benefit, but also (sensibly) are having to fund their own retirement through auto-enrolment workplace pension contributions. My generation need to own our mistake. We "paid into" nothing more than general taxation and we allowed the govts we elected to spend the money immediately. There is nothing put aside for us. That's our bad and we need to get off the backs of our children and grandchildren.

Someone who isn’t me emptied their pension in their 20s and tried to opt out wherever possible. It’s madness to think that change isn’t gonna come.

Let’s start by Remigrating 10 million people who have entered in the last 15 years. We were far wealthier in every metric before they were here, so why are they here?

I assume that I will get nothing of value from the state in my old age. I am putting my resources into assets that I think will either hold or increase their value. Anyone who isn't doing likewise is going to have a very bad time.
