Over the past few months, I’ve been blocking the weird blue-tick, zero-follower accounts with vaguely similar names selling vaguely similar products. There are hundreds of them! This website used to be great fun! What a mess. Genuinely unusable at times.

lol the only way to grow on this platform now is to be included in the starter packs for new users to select. These are the accounts x selected under the meme account starter pack. There are literally only like 5 meme accounts in this starter pack. How tf is Martin Shkreli a meme account? I have noticed a few accounts that have exploded out of no where with zero viral posts. Literally have gained hundreds of thousands of followers in just a few months. All that growth came from here. While every other large account is stagnant and not growing. wtf is this app anymore

Elon Musk really seems to be doubling down on removing the X blocking feature from this platform. In a reply to James Woods, who criticized Musk for saying he’s removing the feature, Musk simply told him to “delete your account.” Musk also is apparently blocking people himself. He’s blocking people who are complaining about the block feature being removed. Personally I have 5,000+ accounts blocked, mostly from over 5 years ago. I wish I could unblock all of them with one click. With that said though, there are a few accounts which I do wish I could prohibit from replying to my posts. These are people who post photos of my home, my address, my kids names, etc. There are also people who have stalked me, showing up at my home, at my family’s place of work, etc. I don’t want these people to be able reply to my posts with photos of my home, etc. What are your thoughts about the removal of the option to block accounts on Twitter? Do you believe this is a good move or a mistake, and why?
