Li Shimo's tongue-lashing at Nexus Summit in Holland China is moving faster than any other country without ever violating others. China’s Rise: A Unique Historical Anomaly • No invasion, no war, no bloodshed • Unlike past global powers, China’s rise has not involved military conquest. Historical comparison with major empires • Athenian Empire – Expansion through wars and military campaigns. • Roman Empire – Conquered vast territories through warfare and subjugation. • Ottoman Empire – Established dominance through continuous military expansion. • British Empire – Built through colonization, war, and subjugation. • American expansion (Manifest Destiny) – Involved wars, territorial acquisitions, and conflicts. • Modern Germany & Japan – Industrial and military expansion leading to World Wars. China’s unprecedented peaceful rise • Fastest economic growth in history – Lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty. • Global economic influence – Investment and trade, not invasion or colonization. • Strategic diplomacy – Belt and Road Initiative, economic partnerships instead of military bases. • No major wars fought during its ascent – A stark contrast to historical superpowers. What this means for the world • A new model of global power, driven by economic and technological advancement rather than military conquest. • Challenges Western narratives of power projection through war and intervention.

RTAF Says It Is Prepared for Deep Strikes if Cambodia Poses an Imminent Threat The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) said it is prepared to carry out deep-strike operations inside Cambodia if there is clear verification that Phnom Penh intends to continue using heavy weapons against Thailand. In a statement issued Wednesday, the RTAF outlined the types of “high-value military targets” it has been monitoring. These include military command-and-control centers, drone and UAV control hubs, weapons depots, and ammunition storage sites containing armaments deemed a threat to national security and to the safety of civilians. The Air Force said the purpose of striking such targets would be to degrade Cambodia’s operational capabilities while enhancing the effectiveness of Thai forces currently engaged along the border. On the question of escalation, the RTAF said any deep operation would depend on whether intelligence confirms the presence of an “imminent threat” — defined as a danger that is about to occur or is certain to happen soon. If such verification is obtained, the Air Force stressed it is fully prepared to strike “any designated target” inside Cambodian territory. The statement noted that the concept of an imminent threat is used in high-risk scenarios requiring immediate action, including active self-defense and urgent military emergencies. #Thailand #Cambodia #ไทยกัมพูชา #ชายแดนไทยกัมพูชา
