overdrive update: download speed depends a lot on the source. some do 50 MB/s, some barely 3 MB/s. overdrive will launch as it is now, with these mixed sources. some providers are just slow, so i can't promise download speeds on those. for later i'm thinking about building our...

how it would be amazing if upload all ps5 games on torrent and we can use debrid service to download them with highest speed. but the only problem is: Seeding, how we can keep active seeding on every game file. 🫣

Can you add some kind of indicator for each source showing average download times ?

825$ for a single person per month is crazy and u shouldn’t do that even if there are donations.

What about adding a torrent option? I reckon most games won't have enough seeds, but the big triple A ones that has more demand will get extremely high speeds with good seeding. I never understood why the PS5 community keeps on some of those very slow paywall servers.

Domani insists he will send 50 Cent to see his dead mother on the scathing new diss track "Ms. Jackson." What started out as an issue between 50 and T.I. over a proposed Verzuz has turned into Fif getting musically jumped by T.I. and his sons, after Fif dissed T.I.'s wife Tiny. Domani is the latest Harris to enter the chat. On Thursday night (Feb. 26), he dropped the song "Ms. Jackson," where he figuratively speaks directly to 50's late mother, Sabrina. "Ms. Jackson, am I overreacting or is it valid?/I wanna have a one-on-one convo about/The man you sacrificed your life for so the world could see his talent," Domani raps. "He's a legend now, I guess it worked out, but I need some answers/Are you happy with the way he been holding your family name?/I need to know cuz I can't sleep at night thinking you died in vain." "We thought it was a joke, but now we see it's something off with him/I offered him a chance to reunite with you, and I'll do it," Domani continues. "Nothing left to do so I’ll just send him to you, Ms. Jackson." This is the latest in a string of diss songs released by T.I. and company. In response to 50 Cent sharing unflattering photos of Tiny on social media over the weekend, T.I. has dropped four diss tracks this week. His son King has also released a couple of songs going at 50 Cent. In the video for the latest one, "Sayless," he is wearing a T-shirt that has a picture of 50's late mom on it. Meanwhile, 50 has implied he won't give T.I. the satisfaction of dropping a rap response.

David Friedberg explains that owning a home is worse than investing in stocks Calls it the "Great lie" FRIEDBERG: "This is one of the great lies. Convincing everyone that the great American dream is to own a house. When owning a house for a lot of Americans ends up putting all your capital in one asset, and you've got to basically get the price of housing to go up every year to keep everyone moving up the ladder." "So now, fast forward 30, 40, 50 years, young people can't afford to buy a house anymore because we've pushed the asset value up so much to try and make sure that everyone's got good household wealth." BARTLETT: "We are told. I mean, that's the sort of central idea once you leave university—is to figure out how quickly you can get a mortgage or buy a house." FRIEDBERG: "Great lie. It's one of the great lies. And there's a lot of countries where people have been able to accumulate capital and jump that ravine from labor to capital much more quickly when they don't buy a house because they can invest in stuff. They can buy, you know, the S&P 500, which you can just buy on an E-Trade or Robinhood account, and you can just own it; on average, it will make you 10-11% a year. You just put your money in that, you're making 10-11% a year, and it can go up every year, and you don't have to pay taxes. You don't have to pay property tax. You don't have to pay insurance. You don't have to deal with repairs and maintenance. All that sort of stuff. So, a lot of people would have been better off, depending on the markets that they're in. There's some markets that ballooned, but a lot of people would have been better off over the last 30 years actually owning the S&P 500 than owning their home and paying for the rent on a home."

⚡️Some notes on Russian plane shoot down: 1. New video seen below from near the area of missile launch proves that Russian defenses shot down the plane from nearby. This immediately disproves that Ukrainian missiles had anything to do with the shoot down. 2. There is zero proof an A-50 was shot down and in fact the currently best known information from the serial number on the tail indicates this was an Il-76TD, but it is not yet known for certain with any confirmation. 3. That we now know for 100% fact that Russian systems shot it down would seem to be even greater proof that it was not an A-50 because Russian S-400s in the area would absolutely have a IFF link with an A-50, but possibly not with the civilian variant Il-76TD. This weighs the likelihood heavier into Il-76 territory. 4. But there's some wrinkles to this. Sure, the missiles wouldn't initially lock onto an A-50, but there's some very remote possibility they were shooting another object and at the terminal phase, where IFF already gets iffy if not outright negated, the missile(s) may have redirected onto a potential A-50. This is a remote possibility, but the likelihood for now still weighs far heavier towards the Il-76TD explanation. 5. What other object would Russian S-400s possibly be engaging near Krasnodar where no Ukrainian missile can reach? That's simple: potentially a drone of some kind. One person had the idea that Ukrainian saboteurs in the region can even fly drones locally in the flight path of Russian military planes coming in for landing at the airport. It's possible something like this was engaged. 6. But there's an even bigger wrinkle: the plane that was shot down was firing flares. Not all Il-76s or even A-50s necessarily carry flares, they have to have a special attachment to do so. Secondly, only a plane that knows a missile is locked onto it would even fire flares. That means the plane needs to have RWR (Radar Warning Receiver), which both A-50 and Il-76 are supposed to have, though I'm not sure about the Il-76TD variant. 7. There is possibility some long range Ukrainian missile was involved indirectly, but not an AD system. I.e. something like a Storm Shadow or ATACMS could hypothetically have been fired at Krasnodar, and Russian S-400s attempted to intercept it and missed. But this is unlikely as the range from Ukrainian territory is much higher than any of their known cruise missiles. Conclusion: Now that we are almost certain from the new video that Russian S-400s performed the shoot down, particularly at close range where IFF interrogation can still easily happen (as opposed to beyond radar horizon where terminal guidance can take over and make things iffy), the A-50 is very unlikely as A-50 certainly has IFF interrogation link with S-400s. The Il-76TD IFF with S-400 is more questionable as it is technically a civilian variant, though it is in use by government agencies like emergency services. Therefore the version that it was a Il-76TD is as of now more realistic, particularly because there is zero proof of it being an A-50 other than the echochamber formed from 1 person's unsourced guess on Telegram. Lastly: since the below video proves that all Ukrainian claims of their involvement in the shootdown today were lies, it logically follows that anything they have to say about the plane being A-50 are also propaganda/lies, which makes it even likelier that it was in fact an Il-76.

Baseten Head of AI Model Training Charlie O'Neill says the future is many specialized LLMs dedicated to specific tasks, with bigger labs deployed on the frontiers of areas like science and math: "People are thinking about intelligence capabilities in the wrong way. People are thinking about intelligence relativistically. They say, 'OK, the open-source gap is like 6 months behind closed-source, and GLM 5.3 is as good as Opus 4.8,' or whatever." "The best way to think about what models can do for you, and for the world, is in an absolute sense." "So for any given task that you want to do with an LLM, there's some intelligence threshold where below that you can't do the task, and above that you have very diminishing returns to more intelligence on the task." "So when you think about it that way, the game of LLMs over the last 5 years has been, 'OK, we have these things we want to do with them. Closed source hits it first... but open-source can eventually do that task. And then for many reasons, once you have the base level of intelligence required to do it, you probably do want to swap to open-source." "It's not really about the [frontier lab] God model being better. Like, if I'm filing a tax return, there is a limit to how much intelligence I need to do that particular thing." "So I think the world is going to look like — frontier closed-source labs are going to continue to push the frontier. You do want to use the most intelligent model. You have very inelastic demand for intelligence when you're doing frontier science or frontier math." "But for a lot of the economically valuable things, it looks a lot like, 'I'm a Cursor, or I'm one of these big companies who are realizing I can't just be a wrapper anymore. I've been through the life cycle of building a product that people love. And I should be using that information to make my model better at the things that I care about, and not at anything else.'"
