What a lot of people fail to realize, is that this was Marlo's demise. They never gave Marlo's group a closer look until Bodie was killed. Mcnulty wanted revenge so bad, he even made up a fake serial killer to use funds the city didn't have. Also, he used illegal wire taps. In a way, he risked his career for Bodie. The police are really bad at protecting witnesses in this show. The worst part about Bodie's death is that nobody except McNulty and Poot really cared or remember him. He was a soldier his whole life. Never did no wrong, played the game straight and honest. Forgotten by his old organization after it fell apart, no respect, no promotions, gets capped in the back of the head and dies like any other.🎬🍿

Courtroom footage shows Erik Menéndez speaking about the alleged s*xual abuse he suffered at the hands of his father. On August 20, 1989, Lyle and Erik Menéndez shot and killed their parents, José and Mary Louise "Kitty" Menéndez. José was shot six times, including a fatal shot to the back of the head with a 12-gauge shotgun. Kitty was shot ten times. Immediately after the murders, the brothers stayed in the house, expecting the police to arrive due to the noise of the gunshots. When officers arrived, the brothers claimed the killings had happened while they were out. In the months following the murders, they spent lavishly on luxury items, businesses, and travel, burning through approximately $700,000 before being arrested six months later. During their trial, the brothers testified that they acted out of fear, believing their father would kill them after they threatened to expose years of se*ual, emotional, and physical abuse. After a mistrial caused by deadlocked juries in separate trials, they were sentenced to life without parole in a joint trial.

This is favorite building in San Francisco because it was built for the World's Fair in 1914 where the steam locomotive and telephone were showed off. It was a time when technology gave us all a deep sense of optimism for the future. I feel like some of that sense has been lost since, but I hope models like astra can help restore it, and push us towards a more hopeful future.
