Comparing Owerri to Osogbo is like comparing New York to Ogbomosho. Even my LGA, Ogbaru, is by far more developed & advanced than Osogbo, Akure, Ibadan & Abeokuta combined. It is an insult to civilized world to compare developed Owerri to backward & uncivilised Osogbo.

As for me, I love the perceptions that SouthEast states ain’t developed. I don’t want the publicity for our cities yet, becoz I want our cities to be fully developed by the Igbo’s alone. I love it when they say “Go back to your village”. 🥹

This why when I see people who has not gone beyond Akure and Lagos say SE is underdeveloped I laugh so hard. At least have gone to all the SE states and SW states.. the difference is clear. it only Lagos I can say stands out in the SW, others are still way behind compared to SE

The only city in SW that can be compared to Owerri is Lagos.. no other place there comes close.

No city in #Nigeria can be compared to any Igbo city, I know those yariba cl0wn 🤡 will come after this comment saying “what about Lagos and Abuja”? Na we still build am! Without the involvement of the #IGBO #MAN those cities would have been nothing.

The first 1 minute of the video I already faulted your narrative. You pic Osogbo to compare with Owerri based on what? Of all the SW states. Anyways all these comparisons still don't change anything the Sad Easterners still run down to SW.

Never heard of Owerri vs Osogbo b4. So obviously the comparison is ur own fabrication. 1. Imo was created in 1976, Osun created in 1991. 15yrs difference. 2. Imo an Oil & gas producing state. Osun non. 3. Same Osun that almost doubles the size of Imo. So the comparison is flawed

I personally wish Alaigbo will become as developed & vibrant like Abuja or Lagos with haters unaware AND CONTINUALLY UNDERRATING, then boom! Igbos will travel for Christmas massively but only few return All Igbo business owners will move their headquarters to Alaigbo Quietly

Why are igbos obsessed with the Yorubas? See you only compare yourself with something superior. Gu The fact that you keep comparing yourself with Yorubas shows they are superior, ask yourself why not north, why not Edo? Why always Yoruba? Are you guys in competition?

If we do Owerri and Ibadan, Owerri wins, Owerri-Ogun, Owerri wins, Owerri-Ondo Owerri wins, Owerri-Ekiti, Owerri wins…those states cant stand Enugu, Abia, Anambra

You should get small shame. Osun State was created on August 27, 1991, from part of Oyo State. Imo State was created on February 3, 1976, from East Central State.

Yor-Thotz is right. Too often Nigerians debate development based on hype or sentiment, ignoring the on-ground reality. Owerri vs Osogbo shows that progress isn’t always where the loudest voices say it is.

Simply experiment.... take a land trip from lagos to SE, after lagos, you will not see any meaningful, modern development till you get to delta state. Same with come from the north, you will start seeing development after benue.

The road you post for Oshogbo is called “Ona baba Ona “ and that’s just the entrance of Oshogbo. Why don’t you post the developed part of Oshogbo as you did for your Owerri ? Una dey mad 😹😹

Which Nigerians expect Osogbo to be ahead of Owerri? Owerri was the last capital of Biafra in 1969, and has been the capital of imo state since 1976 (50 years). So which sane person would expect Osogbo to be ahead of Owerri?

How old is Imo state and how old is Osun state, secondly Imo state is an oil producing state and Osun is a civil servant State.

Mentioning Osun State along side imo state, is already an insult to imo. Imagine comparing Osogbo to Owerri. hmmm another insult of its own. Now the narrator used so many annoying words to describe SE, he should not try that next time. Osogbo can't even come close to Abakaliki

@trigottista Whenever I discuss Nigeria with friends . Igbo brothers will talk about their state capitals , talk about their towns and villages. Most other people will casually mention their states , say a little about their state capitals and nothing about their towns or villages. Why ?

Osun is a stretch oh. When I visited Abeokuta capital of Ogun that should be next to Lagos in development. I was in Shock. The SW in general is so lagging. Afikpo which is a town is far developed that oshogbo a state capital.

Today, I am delighted to announce the completion and commissioning of a project that began 12 years ago under one of my predecessors, Rauf Aregbesola (Rauf Aregbesola). This road, completed by our administration is the Pa (Oba) Adesoji Aderemi East Bypass, Ring Road, in Osogbo. This vital road project is divided into four segments, each connected by a roundabout or interchange within the Osogbo metropolis: 1.Osogbo/Iwo Road – Osogbo/Gbongan Road 2.Osogbo/Gbongan Road – Osogbo/Ilesa Road 3.Osogbo/Ilesa Road – Osogbo/Ibokun Road 4.Osogbo/Ibokun Road – Osogbo/Ikirun Road Upon assumption of office, our administration took the bull by the horns and completed the outstanding two segments: •Osogbo/Ilesa Road – Osogbo/Ibokun Road •Osogbo/Ibokun Road – Osogbo/Ikirun Road Also known as the Stadium Roundabout – Oke Baale Roundabout – Ilesa Garage Roundabout, this stretch has a total length of 6.0 km. The overall width of the road is 19.5 meters, featuring a 1.2-meter median and two carriageways, each 7.8 meters wide with a 1.5-meter shoulder. To enhance the road’s modern aesthetics, we have completed the landscaping of all four roundabouts, giving them a facelift. Additionally, the entire 6 km dual carriageway has been equipped with solar-powered street lights, ensuring that IMOLE (light) reaches every section of the road. This milestone underscores our administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and the fulfillment of promises made to the people of Osun State to complete all outstanding projects that will benefit our people. I appreciate my brother, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde (), for honoring our invitation to commission this important project.
