#Oxnard #CA *GRAPHIC warning* Bodycam & surveillance video have been released from a fatal OIS on April 28th involving a male who was armed with a knife. The male was hallucinating, charging at police with a knife and then after being shot attempted to disarm the officer. /OIS

Paramedics had responded for a male who was reportedly hallucinating & drinking who became aggressive and began cutting himself when they arrived. The supect then barricaded themselves in a nearby washroom before emerging and charging the officer. /BWC-arrival

*potentially disturbing* “Oxnard Police detail that Owens emerged from the bathroom with the knife and approached an officer on the stair landing who gave verbal commands that Owens did not comply with.” /surveillance video
