Pakistan has long used vague “security allocations” in federal budgets to covertly aid proxy groups i.e. LeT, JeM, etc. But if IMF’s condition lands on ground and bans such unaudited flow — no backdoor routes, no budget tricks. Ghost funding for terror just lost a major artery. Indirect funding via local madrassas, NGOs, and “development boards.” If IMF scrutinising every rupee, these shell routes now face disruption. But if regional instability serves broader geopolitical interests. @IMFNews and @FATFNews may choose to turn a blind eye.
