These comments sheesh we are cooked. Some of you fools are so stupid I’m actually afraid for our communities because you morons had a problem with what he’s saying. He’s saying take accountability as a parent and understand who your child is around, where your child is going, and what your child is doing. I can tell some of you are trash parents like dumpster fire parents. We use to hold neighborhoods accountable for a kid my block knew who’s kid I was, the bodega owner knew both my parents. Your community was a village and you represented the whole. Being cool with your kid and your kids friends isn’t parenting it’s usually enabling fuckery. You fools gotta do better.

He's right in the sense that you should speak to the children and young adults around the way to build a rapport with them. Ask them about school, what they got going on, and then work your way to explaining how they're being setup to risk their freedom in this street life.
