The victim sought compensation from the parents for emotional distress and psychological trauma, which I believe is justified. Today, we officially opened the Parents’ Overnight Suite at the Bustamante Hospital for Children, giving parents a safe and comfortable place to stay while their children receive care. Bustamante is the only specialist children’s hospital in the English-speaking Caribbean and has been serving Jamaican families for over 60 years. Each year, more than 70,000 children come here for treatment and support. This new space means parents can stay close to their children when they need them most, because we know that family support plays a big role in healing.

Oklahoma's superintendent sent a memo to parents, giving them a heads-up and explaining why it's important. “For decades, the U.S. Department of Education has unjustifiably expanded the federal government’s power over American education, and that overreach has squeezed local communities and parents out of control of their own schools. Thanks to President Trump, we are going to reverse that trend. By eliminating the federal bureaucracy, money can be efficiently directed to local schools and allow disenfranchised parents to have more direct say over education in their states and communities. Trans teacher forces ideology on children! We received reports from concerned parents about children being punished for not using the correct pronouns of a teacher at their school. We investigated and found the teacher in question, a man wearing devil horns and parading around the school expecting the kids to call him, "MIX"! Those who didn't, would be punished by the school. We confronted the man and asked if he thinks it's fair that children should be punished for not going along with gender bending ideology!

The higher your parents’ income, the less likely you are to match it — and that’s not surprising for several reasons. There is regression to the mean: across generations some movement up or down is normal. Earning a great deal of money is also difficult; the more wealth you’re born into, the harder it is to match or exceed it because the baseline you must surpass is already very high. One common definition of the American dream is doing better than your parents, but if your parents were already well off, meeting that standard becomes much more demanding. I half-jokingly tweeted recently: if you were born to parents in the 97th percentile and now live at the 80th, that’s apparently a grave injustice — and therefore, according to the joke, we should burn society to the ground.

Whether that means one parent staying home or both working, families should have real choices. For too many young Australians, starting a family feels out of reach because of soaring costs. Our policy makes it easier to take that step. Easing financial pressure means more families can afford to have children sooner. Labor’s response? A weak, dismissive deflection. It's wrong for parents to send their kids off to daycare just so they can "live their life" or work and not see them for the whole day. Children need at least one parent looking after them. Working is necessary, so one thing I would propose is for employers to offer in-office daycare services that will allow parents to attend to their children several times a day, and for work to mandate an hour-long break, only for parents and separate from their lunchbreak, so they can be with their kids. If more workplaces offered this, people would be more inclined to have children because the current system makes it very difficult for parents to be attentive and raise their kids and hold a good job at the same time.

The best start in life is to have a parent in your life, not sitting in a childcare centre for at least three days a week with a strange brainwashing them with the woke mind virus. Why the major parties continue to fund childcare centres rather than give childcare support directly to parents is beyond me. People First is the only party lobbying to pay parents directly for childcare, rather than directly to the childcare centre which just increases fees with the increase in the subsidy.
