This looks like a school bus driver completely losing her mind. But there's a lot more to this video than what you see in the first few seconds. This happened in Dallas, Georgia, a substitute bus driver Crystal Johnson was checking backpack tags before releasing younger children from the bus. The tags were part of the school district's safety system, and when she found children without them, she radioed for instructions. Then things got completely out of hand. Angry parents confronted Johnson, parents got onto the bus, and the confrontation eventually turned physical. One mother struck Johnson, and Johnson was also accused of making physical contact with a parent. Johnson closed the doors and drove away with children still onboard, saying later that she was trying to return them to the school because she couldn't verify who they could safely be released to. That's when you get the part of the video that's hard to believe. Parents followed the bus, children were terrified, and some eventually started climbing out of the windows. Johnson was fired. But here's an important part that's often left out of the viral version, both Johnson AND one of the parents were arrested and charged with simple battery. At first glance, I thought this was a bus driver acting like a complete Karen. After knowing the full story, I'm not so sure it's that simple. Who do you think was in the wrong here?

Three babies died so far in Gaza due to hypothermia in the last two nights. The Sameer Project team took immediate action to support families with newborns and thanks to your support, we distributed warm onesies and shoes to babies! Keep donating: Today (December 12th), the Sameer Project distributed 39 onesies made from wool and 39 wool shoes to newborn babies. Each family got a pamphlet and explanation on how best to protect the baby from hypothermia. This was done in the Nadi Bahri Camp that is on the beach in Gaza City and is one of the most affected camps with the storm. Total cost for onesies and shoes was $640 with 9% commission. The onesies we bought were tailormade by a small business that we love supporting called Nour Design. Work on the Stadium Junction–Luba Road has progressed steadily. The first 2.5-kilometre stretch is fully completed, and engineers are now working on the section from the VIA (Luba) Junction to Stadium Junction. They are currently laying the asphalt binder course, which forms the foundation for the final finish. Once this layer is completed, the wearing course will follow to deliver a smooth, durable roadway. This project is a direct reflection of our administration’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure that truly serves the needs of our people. For residents coming from Erunwun, Atan and other neighbouring communities, this road will remove the stress of longer detours and offer a faster, more convenient route for daily movement. We remain unwavering in our focus on the welfare and wellbeing of Ogun State residents. Every road we rehabilitate or reconstruct is designed to make life easier, support economic activity and strengthen the overall quality of living across our state. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #InfrastructureDevelopment #OgunState

Some days we find rice and some days we don’t but on the 29th of July and thanks to your support we managed to find some. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x the Sameer Project team distributed 150 meals to the civil defense team, ambulance team and individual tents in Al Samer neighborhood in Gaza City, support: . Each meal cost $17.85 with 10% commission so total of $2,678. Each meal of rice weighs 800 grams so it’s enough for 2-3 people. With the ongoing imposed famine by the military occupation, a few bites of food, and especially carbs, is very difficult to obtain. We are hoping aid comes into Gaza so that we can return to serving thousands per day. Till then we continue to provide whats available and distributing to hospitals, frontliners and camps. I designed a logo for Jerusalem’s public transport system. At its core is a symbol that is almost 100 years old: the sign used for bus stops. It first appeared in the city in the 1930s and over time spread across the country. Eventually, this sign disappeared from the streets, replaced by standard yellow and blue route information signs. I felt it was important to bring back this simple and precise symbol, a sign that was directly associated with public transport for decades. I used it as the foundation for a new identity: not just a logo, but a visual language that can unify the entire transport system, buses, light rail, and future modes of transport. Sometimes simple forms work best for complex systems. Special thanks to the Jerusalem transport team for their trust in this project, and to Daniel Baev (Daniel Baev דניאל באייב) for his extensive archival research and contribution to the idea.
