Passthrough Camera access (PCA) on Quest may have taken a while and I already see some devs doubting the impact this will have for XR. I think the most fun thing about PCA is, that there are such smart devs out there, that we cannot even begin to imagine... show more

Gonna be a big deal!

We can't spill the beans about the release date of Maki: Paw of Fury, but make no mistake, things are happening! 🫘😎 We remind you that the game is coming to #NintendoSwitch and #PC #Steam and you can play the demo on PC, here ⤵️ >>> Have a great day!

planning to use this to login to 3rd parties using QR codes. saves a looooot of trouble typing

I would be surprised if we don't see this from @fluid_xr soon :)

Yeah, the big question is, how to monetize it? Can we build something that will sell for a high price tag and/or can have mass market appeal? It may just become more like a dev kit for future AR glasses.

Not directly, but I believe it will solve countless issues we have today and in turn make existing apps sell better. Think of solving alignment issues with anchors today, or easily authenticate with a third party service through qr codes, etc. And with the tons of AI models easily accessible through an easy to use API, I don't see a limit to what people can do, at the end of the day, the headset is just the interface. That being said, I totally agree, I have been looking at the Quest 3 more and more as a dev kit for future glasses. I don't think it's a bad thing at all.

No doubt here. Would you be up dropping by in @XRValley and we set up a hackathon around this? I'd be game to sponsor a few headsets
