The flood affected me so bad that I was traumatised by the sound of rain for days. I couldn’t go to the office or attend some meetings. Disappointed clients! My son couldn’t also go to school for a whole week, and the time he managed to go, we had to go drop and pick him by walking through the water that wasn’t flowing. The days I was able to go out or it’s important to, I had to follow trailers and trucks just to cross the water. No bike, no bolt or anything to come around. My car was also badly damaged by water because I drove it through the water. In fact, I spent so much that I got angry yesterday when I was asked to pay another money to fix something again that was damaged by water. We had to buy a pumping or draining machine to start draining the water into the coastal road drainage which became a waste of money and effort because the rain was just back to back. My plan is now to just move out of this location, despite having 8months lefts in rent, to a better on, free from flood and stagnant waters.

It was badly butchered by the studios who panicked after the test screenings and released it without a press viewing. Many things happen, some scenery is chewed, Sean Connery appears. People dress as teddy bears. There is tea. Maybe a fembot? A massive CGI wasp? They wander around a maze for a bit? Maybe if they released the director's cut it might rescue its reputation. The plot might make sense and it could be really good in retrospect. We'll just have to wait...

We’ve seen a lot of dogs in bad conditions but I think this lovely boy might be the worst pain I’ve ever seen a dog in. We’d been told about him by a kind man in the community who found him but had no idea how to help beyond giving him water, food and putting a little electric fan on him. He eventually got through to us in sheer desperation. The dog has been there for days apparently and probably hit by some sort of major trauma. He hasn’t eaten or drank his water and he was laying in his own pee and poop. That little alley way was where it was all going to end very soon because I could see from his gums and other signs he was in big big trouble. We had to just go for it and make a stretcher with what we had and push through the pain. It took us 40 minutes to get back to Tina’s hospital and he screamed at every tiny bump on the road. I thought his spine was broken and was super relieved when it wasn’t. I thought he might be so bad that we’d never be posting this video as it might be better to put him out of his misery. He is very sick and has some stuff going on internally but it is pelvis related we believe. He is by no means 100% going to make it as he has so much going on inside him but we have some hope now. The team are in full action mode to try and save him. I called him Bear as he is a big fluffy gentle giant I can tell. I’m not sure how this story ends but it’s already better than he was alone in that alley this morning. He’s having a huge sleep now with lots of pain relief and meds. 🤞🤞🤞

Some journeys open your eyes in ways you don’t expect; they sit with you long after you’ve arrived home and this trip was one of them. It was gifted to me by someone special and I thought it would be a simple birthday escape. Instead, it became a journey that stayed with me. What you see here was before the Limpopo dam gates were opened, before even more water came. I made it through just in time but many didn’t. I saw people walking through floodwater because that was the only way forward. I saw communities doing what they could, with what they had. And I felt how different everything looks when nothing shields you from what’s happening around you. I made it home safely, but many are still living with the aftermath. Holding them in my thoughts and choosing not to forget. 💌 #mozambiquefloods

A ten-year-old girl on a beach in Thailand saw the sea start to behave strangely, and because of something she had learned two weeks earlier, around a hundred people got off that beach in time. Her name is Tilly Smith, a schoolgirl from Surrey in England. On the morning of 26 December 2004 she was on holiday with her parents, Penny and Colin, and her seven-year-old sister Holly, walking along Maikhao Beach in Phuket. It was their first big family trip abroad, a Christmas treat, and the morning looked completely ordinary. Then Tilly noticed the water. The tide was not going in and out the way it should. It kept rushing in, further and further, and the surface had turned to a strange froth, like the foam sizzling in a frying pan. To everyone else on the beach it was just an odd-looking morning.
