More of this kind of thing chaps. Nothing beats real film and an artist who knows his tools. It doesn’t matter what’s happening, the eye is drawn in by the detail and texture of the image. This doesn’t happen with the non-cinema grey sludge Netflix digital default cameras.

I feel like if you understand, really get, everything he is saying and the reasons for all his choices that alone would make you employable I didn't, but still fascinating

The education you can get from something like this or just a good director's commentary is astounding. This one is amazing. Seeing the film stock, aperture, and lens choices 🤌 My favorite commentaries: Born on the 4th of July Amelie Legend/basically anything with Ridley Scott

@scottbelsky If I remember correctly there’s a really cool one of Wes Anderson narrating one of his movies, where you get a sense of the remarkable detail that goes into his work. I think it’s The Darjeeling Limited.
