if you use a video e.g. as a hero background, Low Power Mode disables autoplay and WebKit puts a native play button over the video instead which is annoying because: 1. it looks completely out of place 2. the button may not even be tappable because of the content layered over it and since you can’t force autoplay with one workaround is to show the first frame as an image over the video, then hide it once the video actually starts playing so in worst case, the user just gets a static hero image:)

Idea today. PCB tomorrow. This is GPT-6 Astra working in KiCad, taking a circuit schematic and turning it into an actual PCB layout. It handles things like placing components and routing copper traces which are two of the most time-consuming parts of PCB design. For hardware engineers, this could mean spending less time on repetitive layout work and more time on designing, testing and improving the actual product. AI-assisted hardware design is getting seriously interesting.

There's a popular rumor that storyboards completely ruin character consistency in AI animation. Here is “one more thing” from GPT-6 Astra that completely blew my mind!🤯 Asked it to create the 3D structures of 2 proteins, green fluorescent protein (GFP) & interleukin-2 (IL-2), then design a fusion protein combining them, which doesn't occur naturally, using AlphaFold-OMG! It did it and I watched it make it on my computer in 9 minutes, my mouth open! I am just so excited about the possibilities of Astra for Biomedical research, and have many more really cool stuff building now! Only limited with my tokens at this time! Here is a short video showing the actual structure!

All it needs is a drawing or an image to start. From there it gives you thousands of fully editable detailed objects with geometry so clean it hurts. Anyone can build an entire 3D world just by talking now. What is happening.

It’s been an outrageous weekend for Vanderbilt Baseball 2026 commit RJ Cope, a 6-foot-8 first baseman and lefty with top-of-scale raw juice from the left side at the plate. But you are making a bet on the imaging appearance and you should always bet the odds—with the risk that every now and then you might be wrong! So don’t remember from this case that metastases can look like lymphoma—remember that sometimes it’s ok to be wrong as long as you read the case right

But something still has to define the spatial relationships in between. That’s where GPT-6 Astra becomes interesting: it can understand the 3D environment and establish camera and character movement inside the Viewport. The resulting scene is manually brought into CapCut PC, where Seedance 2.5 handles the video generation. Then the generated footage can continue into CapCut PC for editing. Here’s a video of a McDonald's pneumatic ketchup/mustard dispenser that never made it to restaurants (post below). For decades we had two separate dispensers: one for ketchup and one for mustard. We’re looking to make our kitchens faster, one second at a time. They’re pretty efficient, but you had to pick up two different dispensers. Now there’s a single dual-purpose version. It dispenses both at once or either one, depending on how you move the black handle (left for mustard, center for both, right for ketchup). Yes, it’s probably over-engineered. Yes, it works. Yes, it saves time.
