NOW: a suspect has been hit by a driver while attempting to run across DC-295 after a federal police chase ended in Washington DC 🚨 At around 11:20pm, US Park Police attempted to stop the driver of a Nissan sedan for reckless driving near Sheriff Road and Eastern Ave at the Washington DC/Maryland line. The suspect took off, at which point USPP officers initiated a pursuit. The suspect then wrecked into a tree on Kenilworth Ave NE, (which runs along the highway) at which point he ran across the highway and was struck by a uninvolved driver on the northbound lanes of DC-295 prior to Eastern Ave. The male has been transported by DC Fire and EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening, although reportedly serious. The civilian driver was not injured and remained on scene. US Park Police’s EAGLE 🚁 assisted from above, as well as other federal law enforcement officers from the FBI. (ON-SCENE REPORT) #DCCrime

OFF-ROAD RV: Scott County officers were just in pursuit of an RV, with a suspect driver reportedly wanted in relation to an assault earlier today. The driver was northbound Hwy. 169, took eastbound Old Shakopee Rd., then entered southbound I-35W. Officers attempted a PIT maneuver as the suspect entered the interstate and terminated their pursuit when it was unsuccessful. The suspect exited I-35W at River Ridge Blvd., continued eastbound and eventually crashed near Cliff Fen Park, 120 Cliff Rd. E., in Burnsville. The suspect then fled on foot into some nearby woods but was apprehended after a canine was deployed. EMS was requested to respond to the park for the suspect's multiple dog bites.
