People ask about “Randy Scouse Git” — a wild title! I wrote it after an unforgettable party in London, capturing impressions from that trip. The UK label changed the title to “Alternate Title.” Catch me on tour starting August 11! Visit for dates.

Amazing compliment from Sir Paul

The lyrics are phenomenal, Mickey, especially the last verse: Why don't you be like me? Why don't you stop and see? Why don't you hate who I hate? Kill who I kill to be free?

This is a prime example of a one of my favorite Monkees songs that was WRITTEN and PERFORMED by the band ON the show, yet they don't get the recognition they deserve for their work. Love the "the four kings of EMI" sitting on the floor referencing the Beatles. Such a great song. Davey is faking the drums in the video though Micky played drums on the track.

Love catching Mike goofing along with you in the background 😂💖

This & Daily Nightly are two of my favorites :) So thankful that I was part of the 1980s generation that caught the second round of the show on TV!!

Hope you still have that poncho.

Loved it since the day it was released. Brilliant song and record. “The kings of EMI…” indeed, lol.

Acid was a crazy trip, man. 😆

My favorite Monkees record! 🙌🏻

Is the tune inspired by Flowers On The Wall?

I met the "Scouse git" himself some years ago as he lived locally. Would often see him shopping in the local supermarket. Got to have a brief chat with him one night at the Labour Club, and shook his hand!
I was thinking about this song just a few days ago! OK - it was while watching an episode of Monty Python. It had to do with the word "scouse". Now I've got to research this further. :)

🤣🤣🤣

Any plans to do a show in the UK?

I like your scat bit in the song. It's fun!

All the dates listed on your site are for previous dates this year! Would love to see your upcoming dates!!!

Easily one of my favorite Monkees songs.

Love this track! 👏😊🎵

Inspired by Alf Garnett (Warren Mitchell) #TilDeathUsDoPart

Luv this song.

I always read that you heard it after hearing the phrase on a British T.V. Comedy called "Till Death Us Do Part" The main character always called his Daughters boyfriend that. Label said that the title was inappropriate.. Hence.... 🤔🙂🤷♂️🤷♂️🎵

Would that be a "trip" you don't need luggage for? 😉🤭🤯

Mr. Dolenz - Didn't you live in the UK for a while?

Love watching your antics in “What Am I Doing Hangin’ Round”

My first ever LP was your first LP. 😍😍

I still listen to this song from time to time. I love the lyrics, and the melody stays with you. Plus, seeing this video cracked me up when I was little.

You could honour it's origins and bring it back to the UK... 🙏

From a scouser. Love this song ❤️🍷

Hope Johnny Speight got royalties😂

Trying to decide what is my favorite Micky Monkees song is like having multiple testicles and trying to decide which ones you have to cut off until you only have one.

Love that song! My fave Monkees’ tune.

That's a great title. And calling it all one word worked really well. I remember you calling it "Yourandyscousegit" on the TV show (I think).
