Ron DeSantis has spent more money positioning law enforcement to babysit that crosswalk than there ever was security outside of Pulse nightclub the night it was attacked by someone filled with hate and armed with a weapon of war. So when you look at what people in Orlando, across Florida, and across the globe have been subjected to, you see three things: first, it’s a flex of power and control over people. Second, it’s a disgrace — a desecration of the memories of those we were memorializing.
