DATA CENTRES Let me share some uncomfortable information The data Centres they are seeking to build will be the surveillance centres. They will act like the prison warden, monitoring and allocating punishments and giving scores. For those data Centres to work, they will need FRESH WATER to cool the hardware. They will need to divert water from entire dams towards the data centre. For example all the water feeding the Nairobi population will need to be diverted to the data centres for cooling the systems. See the number of legal cases in the USA against the data Centres. We have not talked about radiation that they will produce and affect the populations living in the environs

The United States understands very clearly that without India’s data it cannot remain a superpower. It is only the United States combined with Indian data that can truly compete with China. Without Indian data, America cannot effectively compete with China. They understand this. But we do not. Our political class does not seem to realise it. India has one of the largest pools of data in the world, yet we are simply giving it away. We are handing it over for free. So, for me, there are three central things we must focus on. First, we must protect our data. Second, our people must live in harmony - secure, protected, and not fighting among themselves. And third, we must seriously compete with China in production and manufacturing. If we do these three things, nobody will be able to challenge us. But if we give away our data, fail to produce anything, and allow our people to fight among themselves, then we are heading for trouble. And my concern is that this is exactly the path we are currently on. Our people are being made to fight - one religion against another, one language against another, one caste against another. At the same time, we are not producing enough, and we are handing over our biggest strategic asset to the United States. Data centres could be an opportunity for Australia but only if we get the settings right and plan for the long term. That means putting in place strong power and water safeguards, ensuring they are appropriately located, guaranteeing local compute access for Australian companies and introducing some kind of data centre tax - which we have heard nothing about from government. These companies are experts at profit shifting offshore and we need to retain some benefit here in Australia. We also need to see far greater investment in retraining workers who face job displacement due to AI and make sure we're not make housing affordability worse if data centres are taking away from our construction workforce.
