Why are we forced to pay for data centres? Ireland to be the dumping group of these big tech companies data centres & their algorithms. We should be able to know what's going on in them. Instead, this government is allowing them to use up massive amounts of water & electricity.

Why has Blair suddenly changed his tune on the climate and how to generate energy in the U.K. why is it ok for British citizens to be bankrupted to pay ever increasing energy costs and be constantly told they need to reduce their energy useage and the public and farmers told they MUST conserve water at the same time as huge data centres and Ai centres are bing built which use MASSIVE amounts of energy and huge amounts of water. And all whilst planning laws are changed overnight to stop residents and farmers complaining about the destruction of thousands of acres of land to build solar farms. It’s bullshit, a massive scam from top to bottom.

Many large-scale data centres are "energy-guzzling infrastructure" with only a minimal impact on job creation. While Tamil Nadu won't stop attracting data centres, it will focus on smaller, AI-specific data centres that better suit the state's highly educated workforce. Certain data centres (referring to a Google project in Andhra Pradesh) were built in specific locations primarily because of existing undersea cable infrastructure. And we all know who runs the existing infrastructure there. Bottom line: Tamil Nadu will not join a "rat race to the bottom" by giving away land for free or providing excessive incentives just to win an investment. The state knows its value and the quality of its talent pool, so it doesn't need to compete with other states on these terms. - Honourable Minister Dr. T R B Rajaa Annan

One of the few politicians with integrity and conviction.
