People are smart enough to realise there are multiple reasons for decline. 1. rising wealth disparity 2. mass immigration 3. perpetual wars 4. boomerang sanctions 5. two tier policing etc etc

@AJMajid Problem is that if you tax the rich more they will simply leave the country. Many are doing so now. Taxation has to be clever enough to keep the rich around and encourage them to keep their businesses going while getting enough odd then to help the poor

The left has been saying this for years (decades even) but a lot of effort is put into ensuring the message doesn't reach those that need to hear it. Corbyn was destroyed for this reason plus not telling Starmer to f off around Brexit policy.

It helps the right that they have a dozen mainstream media corporate outlets and the BBC providing the loudest voice. Until the left tackles the issue of media it's meaningless, and an ever increasing number of tiny outlets competing in the same niche isn't it.
