People love Rive for one thing: control. So we built a state machine engine for AI mascots. Mango: 25 poses, 79 clips, one canvas. 2s transitions between poses, speed control, fast loops. He reacts fast and feels alive. Perfect for desktop companions, AI agent faces, or app onboarding. And... show more

Create your mascot in

Did you literally copy-paste what I had done 😄

I can offer you Masko credits

Nah, it’s fine man. Happy my ideas helped you.

TBH I think rive is just looking better compared to these Ai mascots. Aside from the file size for mobile, the fact that you work with vector elements is just so hosted

Yes but you can’t do everything with rice easily

Give me an example, as I am curious 👀

I will ! The time to go back to my laptop. Rive is vector. Some things are more difficult to do full vector compare to images and videos

👏👏👏

Masko is the ai face company !!

Does each animal get its own movements? A monkey can hang from a branch. The elephant is taking the whole tree home.

Yes you can do whatever you want

Interesting!

this is incredible

This is Masko magic

Love it Deffo gonna try

Yes let know

Pricing ?

When 3d ? Api access ?

No 3D yet but happy access and mcp available, it is the recommended way

Wow how big was everything at the end of the day?

It’s missing voice! If you add that to the mix things like Tolan clones could be a thing!

Of course there is voice 😉

Wait!…

Check my profile

I saw the landing page it does not mention voice 😢

I will improve it

the nap loop is a nice touch. how do you handle interrupts, like if someone clicks mid-transition, does it blend or snap to the new pose?

You can jump transitions or let them continue, i am finishing the engine and player with the sdk, follow and you will see that

state machine for the mascot makes sense. does the sdk expose the states so devs can add their own, like a custom "thinking" loop?

The 2s transitions are what make it feel alive. Curious how it handles interruptions though. If the user clicks mid pose, does it blend or snap? That's where most mascots feel robotic

Either you create transitions between poses or you can even jump/skip for a more reactive one

loved this entire animation sequence! definitely going checking Masko!

Thank you

so how your animation of the charecter designed using rive?

The animations of Masko are not designed with rive

looks fantastic!

Thank you

Where can we try the monkey ?

How do you want to try it ?

how are you mapping agent state to the clips-explicit events like “thinking” and “tool error,” or does the model choose animations directly?

For AI face, the easy way is determinist code with hooks of agents but one way would be fast models

This is exactly what I need for my next release. I can't wait to try. 👌

Cool, let me know if you have any questions

The 2-second pose transitions sound useful. Can you tune that timing per transition, or is it one global setting?

Every animations can last between 2 seconds up to 30 seconds and you can speed up the animation to be even faster

does speeding it up preserve the easing, or does it just compress the whole animation?

Good question, I don’t know I will check

when you check, could you compare the start and end of the animation? that should show whether the easing stays intact or gets recalculated.

Claude needs to chill with this font lol

I chose this font not Claude

This monkey looks creepy af

Nice!

So those are pre-rendered clips stitched together? And if so, how do you do the lip sync?

Congrats on shipping Mango, agent faces that react could take off

Only sh*t 😳 I really fall in love with this

How much has to download before Mango can respond? On a phone, I’d want the idle pose ready first and the extra reactions to load as needed.

Ah very cute!

hook that facepalm animation straight to terminal errors
