Perhaps there's room to debate whether tariffs can be helpful. But there can't be much debate about this policy, which is incoherent, chaotic, and poorly targeted No-one's going to build a 50-year factory based on a policy that'll go off faster than a bucket of prawns in the sun.

Truly believe this is meant to be a tax increase…. With deficit and current tax code, taxes are too low. How do we increase tax revenue? Well “raising” taxes is a way to lose an election. Issue tariffs and then play politics with it to blame other countries and here we are.

The Trump tariffs are nothing less than a national sales tax imposed without input from, or political consequences for, Congress. They will provide a revenue stream Trump hopes will at least partially offset the huge tax cuts planned for the nation's billionaires.

Trudeau's legacy will be that of the idiot king. There is no question about that. Absolute lack of executional skills and inability to find cabinet members in a parliamentary system. He deserves the legacy he's going to be given. There's NO excuse for it. The amount of damage done in this last 10 years across every metric you want to measure, is catastrophic. The collapse of growth in Canada from a GDP basis, the collapse of invested capital in the country, debt per capita, foreign investment invested per capita, completely chaotic immigration policy, policy around resources and energy that basically crushed the competitiveness.
