Getting a rug professionally cleaned truly does bring it back to it's original state. The way colors get revitalized and details become more distinguished make it satisfying to watch get completed. I still have (and sometimes use) lot of the original samples I started the brand with. I get them cleaned professionally before a convention or if it's one I personally use and it needs sprucing up. I don't own one of those nice vaccums that clean the carpets n' all that. I'm likely sleeping on those! I do however feel good supporting my local rug cleaning company and it's honestly not that expensive to get it done. It also provides me with videos like the one you're seeing now. Feels worth it.
