They are not useless in P3 where they can sometimes outdamage skills In the rest of the games, they're not useless either, providing less but acceptable free damage In P5 and P3R specifically they can provide either massive stat boosts or the game's most broken passives

Have Persona fans actually played the games? I can't believe someone would say weapons are useless. They are bought for the buffs, improvements and effects they can give passively, not so much for the damage they can do.

idk about persona but metaphor refantazio weapon damage makes your spells hit way harder, reaching max scaling at 500 attack
