Serving Bengaluru Beyond Duty location - Hebbal Flyover starting ramp towards city market airport Road Today, at around 3:00 PM, heavy rainfall lashed Bengaluru, leading to severe waterlogging and traffic congestion at several locations across the city. While I was at home, I immediately checked Google Maps to identify the worst-affected areas with heavy traffic and waterlogging. Without waiting for any instruction, I stepped out to assist wherever help was needed. As a responsible citizen, I firmly believe that traffic management during emergencies is not the responsibility of the Traffic Police alone. During heavy rain and waterlogging, no single department can handle the situation by itself. It is our collective responsibility as citizens to stand together, support one another, and extend a helping hand in the interest of public safety. Every small effort made for society contributes to saving valuable time, reducing traffic congestion, and, in many cases, protecting lives. One Wrong Move Away From Disaster: Electronic city Flyover Bus Crash Exposes Dangerous Driving Culture Beware while driving at high speed on flyovers. This video is from the Electronic City flyover, where two buses collided with each other while trying to pass side by side on the narrow stretch of the flyover. Thankfully, there were no casualties, and only minor damage was reported. However, this incident raises a serious question what if this minor accident had turned into a major tragedy? Flyovers are not meant for risky overtaking or aggressive driving. At high speeds, even a small mistake can lead to catastrophic consequences, endangering not just the drivers but dozens of innocent passengers and other road users. In this case, both buses were from Tamil Nadu and were carrying passengers, making the situation even more alarming.Such incidents highlight the urgent need for patience, discipline, and responsible driving, especially on elevated roads where there is little room for error. Trying to overtake, racing to gain a few seconds, or driving side by side on flyovers puts lives at unnecessary risk. This video, recorded by Appaji K on his dashcam, should serve as a strong reminder to all drivers: maintain safe distance, avoid overtaking on flyovers, and never risk lives for speed or ego. A few seconds of caution can prevent irreversible loss. Let’s drive responsibly and make our roads safer for everyone. #bangalore #bengaluru #electroniccity DCP Electronic City BCP ELECTRONICCITY PS ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. #WATCH | Delhi CM Rekha Gupta says, "Pradushan ke viruddh Dilli ka yuddh' (Delhi's fight against pollution) - if we all fight against pollution, against the alarming situation prevalent in Delhi, we will be able to achieve better results. In this direction, we have made an effort. Several major companies operating in Delhi will be made partners in this fight. We have signed an MoU with GMR today, under which the stretch from Azad Market to Inderlok has been handed over to them for maintenance, cleaning, and plantation. They have taken up this stretch for 3 years. The work has started...GMR will do this at an expense of Rs 6 Crores. Similarly, MoUs have been signed with different companies. Work on the stretch from Madhuban Chowk to Mukarba Chowk has been handed over to IOCL. We have also handed over works for Chirag Dilli Flyover, Panchsheel Club Flyover, IIT Flyover, Punjabi Bagh and Aurobindo Marg. To IGL, we have handed over the work of Munirka Flyover under CSR. To Vedanta, we have handed over the work of Punjabi Bagh, Ram Mandir side and Shalimar Bagh side on Outer Ring Road side, new Rao Tula Marg Flyover. To Godrej, we have given the work of Netaji Subhash Place Flyover. To Dalmia, we have given the work of Oberoi and Lodhi Road, Mangi Flyover. To DLF, we have given the work of Karampura Flyover. Similarly, Delhi Govt is in talks with several other companies. Through CSR, everyone shares the responsibility to keep Delhi clean...I also appeal to the people of Delhi that by becoming 'paryavaran rakshak' we should all work towards this city. We should share this responsibility, we can car pool and reach our offices...Biomass burning, we can see people seen burning wood or coal, they will have to be stopped. Govt too is taking strict action over this...We have requested Work From Home, they can avail this if they want...Dust mitigation - if we see dust anywhere around us, we should sprinkle water on it and plant saplings..."

Hebbal Flyover Accident at 1 AM: One Dead, Two Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Collision A fatal accident took place around 1 AM last night on the Hebbal flyover, involving three vehicles and resulting in one death and two injuries. A truck loaded with stones reportedly lost control and overturned, crashing on top of a BBMP garbage truck passing below. The driver of the garbage truck tragically died on the spot due to the impact. Shortly after, a car that was traveling behind collided with the wreckage, adding to the severity of the accident. Two people sustained injuries and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Their current condition is reported to be stable. Eyewitnesses believe the stone-laden truck was over-speeding and may have lost control due to sudden braking or poor road surface. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause. This tragic incident raises serious concerns about the lack of safety measures on Bengaluru's flyovers, especially at night when heavy vehicles are more common. Despite Hebbal flyover being one of the city’s busiest and most critical junctions, there are still no effective speed control systems, surveillance cameras, or proper lighting in place. It’s high time the authorities, including BBMP and Bengaluru Traffic Police, take swift action to ensure safer roads and stricter enforcement before more lives are lost #bangalore #bengaluru #accident Hebbal Traffic Police Station Hebbal BCP Karnataka State Police ChristinMathewPhilip

Welcome to Namma Metro, where you no longer need to go all the way to the station to join a queue; the line comes right to your doorstep! Such is the situation at Nagasandra Metro Station, where a massive crowd has gathered, with the queue extending over 1 kilometer as people wait to board. This unprecedented rush of commuters, forced to stand in long lines that spill far beyond the station premises, highlights the strain on the Green Line’s capacity. This overcrowding is primarily due to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) delaying the opening of the remaining three stations on the Green Line. The absence of these key stations has concentrated the influx of passengers at existing stations, leading to congestion, long waiting times, and discomfort for commuters. Daily travelers are enduring significant inconvenience, as they struggle with the inadequate capacity of the current metro infrastructure. The opening of these three stations is urgently needed to help disperse the crowd, ease congestion, and provide a more comfortable and efficient metro experience. BMRCL is urged to prioritize the inauguration of the pending stations to ensure smoother, more accessible travel for thousands of passengers who rely on Namma Metro daily. Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru DGP KARNATAKA S. Beating Traffic to Save a Heartbeat: Bengaluru Metro Transports Organ in Record Time After making history with its first-ever organ transport in August, Bengaluru’s Namma Metro has once again proved its worth in saving lives. On the night of September 11, a live human heart was swiftly moved from Yeshwanthpur to South End Circle in just 20 minutes for a transplant at Apollo Hospital. The journey was a model of coordination and speed. An ambulance first brought the organ from Sparsh Hospital in Yeshwanthpur to the Yeshwanthpur Industry Metro Station. A specially reserved coach on a regular metro train then carried the heart to its destination station, while metro security and doctors stood by to ensure a smooth transfer. From there, another ambulance rushed it to Apollo Hospital. This was the second time Bengaluru’s metro has been used for an organ transfer, cutting through city traffic and dramatically reducing transport time. By harnessing public transport for emergencies, Namma Metro is showing how urban infrastructure can literally save lives. #bangalore #bengaluru #nammametro #bmrcl #nammametro ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ P C Mohan Tejasvi Surya ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA S. Daylight Extortion on Wheels: Puncture Mafia Active Again in Hebbal–Goraguntepalya Stretch The infamous puncture mafia appears to be active once again in Bengaluru, this time targeting commuters on the Hebbal to Goraguntepalya road. A man travelling on this stretch noticed a large number of nails deliberately scattered on the road, especially along the left side. He personally collected several of these nails, which were clearly capable of causing tyre punctures, and showed them in his hand to warn others. This is not an accident or negligence it is a deliberate and dangerous scam aimed at forcing vehicles to suffer punctures so that nearby roadside repair shops can exploit stranded commuters. Such acts not only cause financial loss but also put lives at risk, especially in fast-moving traffic zones where sudden tyre damage can lead to serious accidents. The traveller who shared this warning has strongly advised other motorists, especially two-wheeler riders, to avoid using the left lane on this stretch until the issue is addressed. This area sees heavy daily traffic, and unsuspecting commuters, office-goers, and families are easy targets for this unethical practice. It is deeply concerning that despite repeated incidents over the years, such organised wrongdoing continues openly. Authorities must take strict action, increase patrolling, and conduct surprise checks on tyre repair shops in the vicinity. Citizens are urged to stay alert, drive cautiously, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the traffic police. Awareness is the first line of defence. Please share this information responsibly so more people can avoid falling victim to the puncture mafia and help make Bengaluru’s roads safer for everyone. Karnataka State Police S. When Ego Rules the Road: Biker’s Aggression Shames Bengaluru Traffic Another alarming road rage incident has been reported in Bengaluru, highlighting the growing aggression on city roads. What started as a minor dispute escalated into a violent confrontation at Madavara Junction. The biker allegedly behaved in an extremely reckless and abusive manner. He reportedly blocked a car, damaged its side mirror, used foul language, threatened the driver, and made obscene gestures. Such actions reflect a complete lack of civic sense and respect for the law, especially in a busy traffic area where public safety is at stake. The car driver, identified as Aditya, was travelling from Nelamangala to Manyata Tech Park for work when the incident occurred. Instead of resolving the issue calmly, the biker chose aggression, endangering not only the driver but also other road users.Following a complaint, a case has been registered at the Madanayakanahalli Police Station, and police are investigating. Incidents like this clearly show how uncontrolled anger and irresponsible behavior are making Bengaluru’s roads unsafe. Road rage is unacceptable and must be dealt with strictly to ensure safety for everyone. Karnataka State Police S. This Is How Road Rage Can Be Avoided Bengaluru google Engineer Chooses Calm Over Confrontation Near Manyata Tech Park This incident shows how road rage can be ignored and avoided with a calm and smart approach. A Google engineer in Bengaluru successfully avoided a potential road rage situation by choosing not to retaliate and by calmly moving ahead. The incident occurred near Manyata Tech Park and falls under the jurisdiction of the Sampigehalli Police Station. While the engineer was riding his bike in traffic, a car driver suddenly began shouting at him, accusing him of revving his bike and creating a disturbance on the road.Instead of responding aggressively or engaging in a fight or verbal altercation, the engineer remained composed. He chose the safer option by not arguing back and simply moved ahead, thereby avoiding any escalation. His presence of mind and calm decision helped prevent the situation from turning into a road rage incident. This incident clearly highlights how staying calm, avoiding confrontation, and prioritising safety over ego can help prevent road rage. Ignoring provocation and moving away from the situation is one of the most effective ways to stay safe on busy city roads like those in Bengaluru.
