"I was always taught by my parents, never be afraid to fail whatever the situation is. If you win, great. If you lose, learn from it." You will never succeed more than you fail. Failure is part of the process. Let your setbacks refine you, not define you.

"I have never been afraid to fail. Young people today, we got to put our arms around them, because kids are afraid to fail. And they look at it as failure instead of a way to grow." Failure isn't the enemy-fear is. Failure isn't final—it's the foundation for future success.

If you try to play "Piano that may not be played that well" before obtaining the Sheet Music or letting Kris play the song on their own, Kris will always fail on the final note. #Deltarune #DeltaruneChapter4 #Kris

Might be too early to play mind games, but these types of word games have always been fun. Can you get any of them right?

Derek Jeter shares the mindset that carried him through 20 years in New York. "I was not afraid to fail. I have failed plenty." "I failed in spring training. I failed in the regular season. I failed in the postseason. The World Series. But I'm not afraid of it." "I've always had the ability to separate one day from the next." The skill isn't to avoid failure - it's to be able to move past it. "You can't play our sport - and more importantly, you can't play in New York - if you're not mentally strong." "You will be tested. There are expectations. There are responsibilities. There are pressures." "But I was just never afraid to fail." Fear of failure is heavier than failure itself. Mental toughness isn’t about avoiding fear. It’s standing tall in the middle of it. Keep showing up and doing the work.

Dusty May shares how he built a culture of never being afraid to fail at Michigan. "In our program we're very intentional to never be afraid of failure. Literally ever." "If I ever feel like our guys have any self-doubt or any fear - we bring it to the surface." "The media's gonna criticize us. It'll be over in 24 hours. All that stuff is vapor. What people are gonna say about us on Twitter is vapor." Focus on the work, not the criticism or the praise. It's vapor. "We're more concerned with just doing our best." "That's not gonna affect our behaviors. We're gonna go out and be unafraid. We're gonna be aggressive. We're gonna let it rip - and trust that the results are gonna be there." Focus on doing the work and giving your best. Trust the process and let it rip. The real enemy of your performance is being too afraid to fail. (🎥 Way of Champions)

"They're telling you NOT TO WORRY, I'll tell you what; DO WORRY!" 🫣 If you think Mark may have calmed down 24 hours on from the Manchester Derby, you would be sorely mistaken... Do you think #mufc will still have a good season? Or have we been set up to fail? 😬👇

“By the year 2050, We will have the problem of 400 million Nigerians that have to be provided with food, work, that have to be satisfied. If we fail to prepare for that now,Boko Haram of today will be a child’s play. We have to take care of it now.” - Former President Obasanjo.

Indiana HC Curt Cignetti - Standards "From the first play to the last play. Fast, physical, relentless. Smart, disciplined, poised. One play at a time, 6 seconds a play. Every play has a life and history of its own, like it's nothing, nothing. Not affected by success or failure. On to the next play, never satisfied. Playing to a standard, not the circumstances in the game." "You're up the in the 4th quarter 52-7, it's not okay to let up because of the circumstances of the game. Because you're playing to a standard. Habits, first you form your habits, then your habits form you."

#Eagles GM Howie Roseman on his reported interest in trading for Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett: “When there’s opportunities to be aggressive for the right players, we’re not going to sit on our hands. You don’t have great success without taking great risks. … We can’t be afraid to fail. I think a lot of times for you to get to the top you have to be willing to take chances that may look controversial at times. …. I won’t live with regret.”

"All the guys sitting, resting. That's the only thing I probably don't like. Just play, man. If you 80%, you gotta play. I don't like all the sitting, missing games stuff. These people might have enough money to come to one game. And that might be the game they come to and you sitting out." 🗣️ Anthony Edwards

permission to fail. Baseball is the most self-esteem defeating sport on the planet. You fail 7 out of 10 times and you're considered elite. Yet young players still equate hits with success. Still tighten up under pressure. Still play scared because they're trying to impress instead of trying to compete. Here's what elite coaches understand: Tension is the enemy. And tension lives where failure isn't allowed. When athletes fear failure, they contract. They play small. They protect themselves instead of competing. The solution isn't more motivation. It's redefining success entirely. Success isn't the hit. It's the quality of the approach. The process. The execution of what you can control—regardless of the outcome. When you give an athlete permission to fail, you give them permission to compete freely. And free competitors are dangerous competitors. Trent Mongero
