Peter Kyle is asked why the govt didn't do an impact assessment on scrapping the universal winter fuel allowance Kyle: "the evidence is every pensioner will have an increase in their income over the next year" Will the pensioners who die this winter get the increase too? #GMB

Pension rise = £460 next year Fuel credit = less £300 = £160 = £3 per week = Below rate of inflation = Pensioners poorer where did @peterkyle get his better of figures from ?

The increase, someone worked out is something like £9 a day, less than an MP’s food allowance and it won’t be here for THIS winter! Please anyone over the threshold will be paying 20% tax!!!!

Of course the real answer is @peterkyle and the rest of the red Tories don’t care. It really is that simple. Anyone who voted for Starmer’s version of Labour[sic] as the lesser of evils, made a huge mistake. #LabourAreTory

Any increase will not take effect until next spring , and the £460 announced by @RachelReevesMP only applies to those receiving a FULL SP, many will receive far less .. last year the £900 increase was made by a Tory government

If there is no impact assessment, how can he have evidence that pensioners are better off?

'The evidence is.... ' three times he said it to avoid admitting that no impact assessment has been made and people will die as a direct result of the withdrawal of WFA.

Any increase in pensions is not until April 2025.....how do we get through winter without fuel allowance?

The bunch of thieves stole from pensioners, it's as simple as that.

Kyle beggars belief with his bullshite

Didn't Labour research pre-election say that over 4000+ pensioners would die as a result of the austerity measures. 🤔 Yes No10 didn't do an "impact assessment", but it looks like Liebour did.
