Petraeus: Ukraine is producing millions of drones — about 3.5M last year and aiming for 7M. They already use up to 9–10K drones a day. The next stage is autonomous drone swarms, which will make warfare even harder to defend against. 1/

🚨🇺🇸🇺🇦 Here’s why the U.S. suddenly wants Ukrainian interceptor drones Iran launches cheap Shahed drones that cost tens of thousands. The U.S. solution so far is to fire $4 million Patriot missiles at them. Ukraine took one look at that math and built the Sting interceptor drone. Cost: $2,000. Speed: 300 km/h. Mission: slam into the incoming drone and knock it out. Ukrainians figured out how to stop drones without burning through the GDP of a small country every week. Source: CBS

Russia is increasingly deploying jet-powered drones with characteristics approaching those of cruise missiles, Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat said. Their speed can reach 600 km/h, while Ukrainian interceptor drones reach about 300 km/h, leaving mobile fire groups and heavy machine guns largely ineffective. Ihnat said these targets require anti-aircraft or air-launched missiles, though Ukrainian manufacturers are improving interceptor drones. #Ukraine

Russia is increasingly using small interceptor drones to stop Ukrainian kamikaze drones before they reach their targets. In recent footage, Russian mobile firing teams are seen launching "Yolka" interceptor drones against incoming Ukrainian FP-1 drones, with the interceptors reportedly destroying them through direct aerial collisions. The footage also shows Russian soldiers attempting to engage the incoming drones with small-arms fire, but hitting fast-moving targets at high altitude can be extremely difficult. Ukrainian FP-1 drones can also alter their flight paths, making conventional ground fire even less effective. As drone attacks become more common, both Russia and Ukraine are developing low-cost interceptor drones that can engage other drones in the air. This emerging Drone-vs-Drone technology could become an increasingly important layer of modern battlefield air defence. #russia #ukraine #RussiaUkraine #drones #DroneStrike

U.S. company Mara has presented its Spike counter-drone system, designed to defend against FPV drones. The system consists of two main components: the Spotter detection module, which uses visual and acoustic sensors to identify incoming drones, and the Seeker interceptor UAV. The Seeker reportedly has a maximum speed of up to 200 km/h (124 mph) and an operational range of approximately 1.5 km (0.9 miles). Mara estimates the complete Spike system will cost between $30,000 and $100,000, depending on the number of Seeker interceptors included. A single system can reportedly accommodate up to 48 interceptors. The company says the interceptor itself is intended to cost approximately the same as its target, or up to twice as much. A stationary version of Spike is planned for late 2026, while vehicle-mounted and portable versions using manual launch are expected in 2027. The system reportedly underwent testing in Ukraine in July 2026. #USA #Mara #Spike #CounterUAS #CounterDrone #FPV #Drones #DroneWarfare #Interceptor #MilitaryTechnology #Defense

🇺🇦🚀 Ukraine has added Alexa Spatium to its arsenal, the country’s first domestically developed jet-powered interceptor drone designed specifically to counter Russia’s increasingly fast jet-powered attack UAVs. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense says Alexa Spatium’s primary targets are Russian Geran-3, Geran-4 and Geran-5 attack drones, as well as Shahed-131s. The high-speed platform can also engage reconnaissance UAVs, helicopters and other aerial targets. Beyond its interceptor role, the system was designed with the capability to engage selected ground and surface targets, giving it considerably greater mission flexibility than a dedicated anti-drone interceptor. Alexa Spatium represents another step in Ukraine’s rapidly evolving layered air-defense architecture. As Russia introduces faster jet-powered attack drones, Ukraine is responding with faster and more specialized interceptors rather than relying exclusively on scarce and expensive conventional surface-to-air missiles. That cost-effective approach could become increasingly important as both sides continue adapting their unmanned systems to defeat the other’s defenses.

Iran may attack U.S. forces with $400 cost interceptor drones — like rus-sian «Molniya». Its significantly cheaper than the Shahed drone and has a range of up to 60 km, when the width of the Strait of Hormuz is 40–50 km. While the missiles for Patriot systems — likely to be often used by the U.S. to intercept these threats — cost about $4M. How do you like that cost ratio?😉 In this video, we’ll discuss how 7 Corps experience can help in countering Iran. And about the capability to mass-produce low-cost interceptor drones (with Генерал Черешня 🍒). Watch the video, like and share this post!👍

‼️‼️🇺🇦 BIG | Ukraine has fielded its first domestically developed jet-powered drone interceptor, Alexa Spatium, giving its air-defense network a new weapon specifically designed to hunt the faster Russian drones that are increasingly challenging traditional interception methods. Developed by Ukrainian engineers, Alexa Spatium is a compact high-speed UAV built to intercept enemy drones, including Shahed-family systems. Measuring roughly 1.5 by 1.7 meters, it can be transported by pickup and launched from a mobile catapult within minutes. Its lightweight composite construction is designed for aggressive maneuvering, while the platform can carry several types of warheads and uses a powerful turbojet engine to operate at higher speeds and altitudes than conventional propeller-driven interceptors. Alexa Spatium arrives at exactly the moment Ukraine needs this class of system most. Russia is increasingly using faster jet-powered Geran variants and spreading attacks across longer time windows, forcing Kyiv to adapt beyond machine-gun teams and slower interceptor drones. Ukraine’s answer is beginning to take shape as a layered, cheaper and more scalable counter-drone architecture. If systems like Alexa Spatium can be produced in large numbers, they could help preserve scarce surface-to-air missiles for the most dangerous threats while making Russia’s expanding drone campaign far more expensive and less effective. BIG | 🇺🇸🇮🇷🇺🇦‼️‼️ Former CIA Director David Petraeus is warning that the Iran conflict is exposing a dangerous imbalance in modern warfare, with the United States potentially having already consumed roughly half of some of its air and missile-defense interceptor stocks while Iran can keep imposing pressure with far cheaper drones and missiles. Petraeus argued that Washington has major lessons to learn from Ukraine, which operates inexpensive drones on an enormous scale and extracts disproportionate battlefield value from them. He said using extremely expensive interceptors against Iranian drones costing around $50,000 is simply not sustainable over a prolonged conflict. Petraeus also pointed to Iran’s ability to threaten U.S. bases and critical Gulf energy infrastructure, highlighting the Iranian strikes that knocked roughly 15–17% of Qatar’s LNG export capacity offline for an estimated three to five years. The warning goes well beyond Iran. America still possesses overwhelming military power, but a force structured around limited inventories of exquisite and expensive munitions can be strained by an adversary able to generate large numbers of cheaper threats. Ukraine has demonstrated how rapidly mass-produced drones can reshape the economics of warfare, and the Iran campaign is reinforcing the same lesson for Washington. Expanding interceptor production, developing cheaper defensive solutions and dramatically increasing the scale of U.S. unmanned systems are becoming strategic necessities rather than optional modernization projects. Trump working hand-in-hand with Putin to pressure Ukraine into the surrender that will finally allow the Trump family to get at all those sweet, sweet mountains of Russian cash – withholding Patriot interceptors despite Ukraine offering to purchase huge quantities. Zelensky: "Drones and cruise missiles destroyed, failed to intercept due to shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems." "Zelensky called on the US and European allies to decide on additional deliveries of missiles for Patriot, stressing that the necessary interceptors are already in the warehouses of partners."

Former CIA Director David Petraeus on Iran: We’ve used perhaps half of our missile interceptors in this particular conflict. We need to learn from the Ukrainians, who are using 10,000 cheap drones per day. And the exchange that they’re getting for those is absolutely massive. Our exchange when we shoot an expensive missile interceptor to take down a $50,000 Iranian drone is obviously not one that is sustainable.

🚀Ukraine has tested a unique and secret super-weapon that reportedly has no equivalent in the world yet The company Fire Point (the same one that produces long-range drones and the “Flamingo” missile) has successfully carried out the first tests of a new anti-aircraft missile, the FP-7.x. It is the core of a future air defense system with the symbolic name “Freya,” designed to intercept Russian ballistic missiles such as “Iskanders” and “Kinzhal” missiles, as well as swarms of drones. The key feature is the cost. The Ukrainian missile is expected to cost around $700,000, compared to nearly $4 million for the American Patriot interceptor — more than five times cheaper. If everything goes according to plan, Ukraine may reduce its reliance on scarce interceptor missiles supplied by the United States. However, experts note that the new system cannot fully replace Patriot systems for now — it would rather significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
