PETRAEUS: In Ukraine, area extending 35 kilometers in either direction from frontline is called "death zone." You have to be outside that "death zone" even to launch a drone or have headquarters. Everything that goes from the rear to the front with logistics is remotely driven. They don't use drivers in vehicles. They have remotely operated machine guns, grenade launchers, and observation platforms. And of course the whole array of aerial drones, from surveillance to suicide drones, first-person view, and even those going deep into Russia on a nightly basis.

China has raised prices of fiber optic cables, which are critical for drone control, by 2.5-4 times for Russian buyers, according to Russian media. At the beginning of 2025, G.652D fiber, used in telecommunications cables, cost 16 yuan ($2.33) per kilometer in China, and in January 2026, it already cost 40 yuan ($5.80) per km. In 2025, Russia purchased 10.5% of all fiber optics produced worldwide, although in previous years this figure never exceeded 1%. 🔥FACT: Democrats are putting Virginia back in RGGI, which will cost $500 million per year - about $1,100 per household. That’s a TAX - and every Virginian with a power bill will pay it. Virginians paid $828 million in ENERGY TAXES on their power bills under RGGI, and removing Virginia from the program saved $937 million. Revenues were $600 million higher than expected for last year. If Democrats want to fund something, they should use the money already set aside - not go back to take more from hard-working families. Energy taxes are not affordability.
