Phang: The breaking news is… an order was just entered within the last hour by Judge Sullivan in my lawsuit against Todd Blanche. The reason why this is so momentous is that Judge Sullivan has now set a status hearing for next week, ordering both parties—me and Todd Blanche—to appear. He has pretty much said in this order, “Todd Blanche, you have now defied my orders.” I think this is a really important moment when it comes to compliance and whether this judge is going to allow Todd Blanche to continue to violate not only the Epstein Files Transparency Act but also the judge’s own orders.

This wasn't some one-off mistake. We know for a fact that the DOJ released over and over again, hundreds and hundreds of times, the personal identifying information of several victims. But when we filed our reply, we made it clear that FOIA has very specific limitations that would prevent a lot of this information in the Epstein files from coming out. So then we got our hands on a response from the DOJ. It was a letter sent to a gentleman who had filed his own FOIA request seeking information from the DOJ pursuant to FOIA regarding Ghislaine Maxwell and Todd Blanche. And what did the DOJ say? "Oh, you don't have to get it through FOIA. The Epstein Files Transparency Act is available for you." So the DOJ's been talking out of both sides of its mouth.
