This is the first time I came across you and you said something that I absolutely love, and I had in my notebook, and I went to find when I took it. It was 2020, and you said, "Books are the closest thing you ever come to finding cheat codes for real life. You can access the entire learnings of someone else's career in a few hours." Tobi: It tracks, doesn't it? David: I dedicate my life to this, so of course, I'm going to agree with that. Tobi: Absolutely. I really think we need to shout this more from the rooftops, right? The one weird trick seems to be just read books.

Palmer Luckey: “I read thousands of books before I was 13” Asked about his experience of being homeschooled as a child, Oculus and Anduril co-founder Palmer Luckey replies: “I was really lucky . . . there were [a lot] of things where I was interested for my own reasons and very good at self-directed learning. I read thousands of books before I was 13. 🍒 "I'm detoxing for my dopamine." Dopamine detox by reading. I need to bring my brain back from being addicted to pain and joy. Our brains are in pain these days. (It's been) one day. I need to cut down. I try, but it's hard... I try not to, but I find myself watching short videos. I read some books at the end of December, though—about four books. There's a Korean novel called Rapids. It's a romantic novel, and I really enjoyed reading it. What else did I read? Let's see! Oh, I read a comic book too. There's a comic book called DVD. I think I read it when I was in middle school. Or was it elementary school? Middle school? It was written by the author Chon Kye-young. A scene I like from it!
