I felt like this movie had nothing going for it besides PSH. Like if you watched just a montage of his scenes, that would be a better movie overall.

He was excellent always, seemed incapable of a bad performance. My personal favorite is his contribution to Almost Famous. It wasn’t his most acclaimed role, but he delivered a character that summed up in just a few scenes the change that was happening in music at that time. It could have been so overdone but because it was him, it was done perfectly.

End the end of the scene he tabs the secretary’s typewriter and asks her how was he? You need to include it, It gives the sequence a great ending.

Just watched along came Polly again… he was something else… such a wide range of talent. His brief scene in Hard Eight is so good , too.

But he was also a dumbass heroin addict which was more important to him than anything else.

His greatest role IMO.
