A Brinks armored car driver in Cobb County, Georgia was pulled over and arrested for expired tags on the truck. Due to the company’s strict protocol the driver Tyrell Hall refused to open the door, telling police they could follow him to a secure location to issue the ticket. Things escalated when the cops decided to arrest him instead, leading to a chaotic scene where the driver repeatedly yelled for them to get their hands off him. Charges were later dropped, but Brinks fired him anyway. He's now suing both the Cobb County PD wrongful arrest and Brinks for wrongful termination and failing to maintain the vehicle’s tag.

On Saturday night, around 11pm, we were called to a grocery store near Foothill Boulevard and Euclid Avenue for two females loading trash bags with merchandise. Officers were Johnny on the spot as always and located the vehicle speeding away. We almost thought we had the wrong car because the driver said she wasn’t at the store and we were mistaken. Officers ended locating the $2,600 in items they just stole, along with other stolen merchandise from other businesses. Both were arrested for felony theft, conspiracy, and their ride towed.

Wrong-Way Driver Arrested on E-470 A deputy was headed into work on E-470 near Parker when they observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes. Due to the median barrier, the deputy was unable to get behind the car but observed the driver swerving through oncoming traffic. Another deputy was quickly dispatched to the area and intercepted the wrong-way driver. During the initial traffic stop, the driver appeared to try to evade the deputy. The driver then conducted a U-turn to face the correct direction on E-470 and pulled onto the right shoulder. The driver was arrested on the following charges: •Reckless Endangerment (M2) •Driving Under the Influence (DUI) (M) •Driving on the Wrong Side of a Divided Highway (TIA) •Driving While License Under Restraint/Suspended (TIA) Excellent observation and quick coordination by our deputies helped prevent what could have resulted in serious injury or worse to other motorists.

Al Dhahiry claimed she was targeted in an Islamophobic road rage incident by another driver. She loudly explains her side of the story to a police officer, claiming that a "white guy" tried to a$sault her on the road by repeatedly tailgating and brake-checking her because she is Muslim. The officer attempts to de-escalate the situation and gather details. He asks her where the incident started, how she maneuvered away, and if she followed the man onto any property. Al Dhahiry insisted that she was the victim and continued to demand for a police report and for the other party to be arrested without giving more details or her ID.
