XBOX CEO Asha Sharma says that gamers want physical media, so they are announcing when you purchase a game you get both They are keeping physical discs, and when you buy one it will come with a digital entitlement How it will work: - Put the disc in an Xbox that has a disc drive - Launch the game - Claim a digital license on your Xbox account - After that, you can play the game without putting the disc in, the disk will still work like a normal game disk The digital license is tied to that specific disc, not permanently locked to you forever If you sell or give the disc away and the new owner inserts it and claims it, the digital license moves to their account and comes off yours This is the way it would be. Getting both physical media and digital media that you can own and sell Launch is with 1,000 games and more coming later

A new fan-made project lets Steam users enjoy the Summer Sale excitement without spending real money. Developer Mike Wing created Steam Summer Sale Simulator after joking that he spent too much time buying games during Steam sales, “I’m addicted to buying digital games on Steam and the Summer Sale isn’t helping, so I made a website that gives the same dopamine hit of buying games without spending actual money.” The website recreates many Steam features: >Users can fill a virtual game library, unlock achievements, earn XP to level up their profile, collect trading cards and badges, trade items on a fake Community Market, and open Counter-Strike-style cases. Every game, item, and reward is fictional, and no real money is used.

OK, I can't wait any longer—here is the repo for my Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour VR / MR mod for Steam Frame Quest 3 / 3S, featuring stereoscopic 3D and a tabletop-style view. An initial version of the ground-level view is also included. You just need the original game files, ideally from Steam. Here is the link to the repo containing the APK: Installation is relatively straightforward: - Transfer the game files to your Quest using a tool of your choice. - Sideload the APK. - Launch the APK from the Quest's "Unknown Sources," select the Generals directory on the device, and you're good to go! A controversial game called Plantation Simulator has been released on Steam and is receiving huge backlash from people calling it a slavery simulator. The game is described on Steam as a simple farming simulator where players motivate workers to work on a plantation. But the gameplay centers on a whipping mechanic applied to Black workers to increase productivity. The developer has described it as: “In this game, you will be whipping black people to keep your farm productive. If you whip your black person too much, they will die.”

The Steam Machine has an RGB light strip on the front that can be customized to different functions. For example, it can show your download progress when installing a game or update. It also has a magnetic front plate that can be swapped, Valve even lets you 3D print your own.

✨ The 🟢 Vibe Portal 2026 is now officially live! It adds a green circular ring portal to every #vibejam game that players can walk, swim, jump, drive, sail or fly through and get teleported to any of the other 1000+ games It's like a mini meta verse for vibe coded games to teleport through Last year it was a bit buggy because me and s13k had to manually manage all the games added and games would start 404'ing quickly This year it works differently and is fully automated: the Vibe Portal tracks which games send traffic to other games, and based on that sends traffic back to them, so automatically if a game doesn't send traffic, it knows either it doesn't have a portal or the portal is not working (like the last fish game in this video) or not shown properly in the game. And it tracks which games the user already visited so doesn't show them again and again, so you always end up in a new game (until you run out) Instructions how to add it to your game on the new Vibejam website at also the new domain 🎮 Adding it is optional to participate in the #vibejam but I recommend it because it will get you lots of traffic from other games! You can try it here:

I just watched AI build a game from a sentence. No Unity. No Unreal. No code. No files. I simply described the game I wanted to make, and Gear Zero planned it, coded it, created the visuals, and turned it into a playable game in my browser. But this is the part that got me 👇 You don’t just generate it and leave. You keep talking to Gear. Change things. Add features. Polish the game. Keep building. It feels less like using an AI game generator… …and more like having a game dev team you can talk to 24/7. The future of making games might actually look like this. Try it →

To all the Dense & Uneducated Pretendo fans complaining about #NintendoSwitch2 Game KeyCards: - Game KeyCards require a ONE time download - Game KeyCards are NOT tied to an account - Game KeyCards are NOT tied to the eShop - Game KeyCards function exactly like regular game cards - Switch 2 has only TWO card options available(For now) to Devs - 64GB Regular card & Game KeyCard - NS2 Cards are more advanced tech and more expensive to make than NS1 Cards - Game KeyCards reduce development time as 3rd Parties do not have to include Card production - Game KeyCards gives NS2 FULL content, Feature, and Visual parity for 3rd party games since Devs do not have to downgrade/Strip a game to fit on a 64GB Card.
