From a patients POV …I asked my primary to review the C-19 V Pharmacokinetics so I could given INFORMED CONSENT. No insert. Two examples in the last five years of the abject failure of medicine: Moved to Colorado in 2017 and 2nd winter had every symptom of Vit D deficiency. Two annuals in our late twenties and WE had to request they run our Vitamin D levels which was an added cost on our labs. Mind you this is while maintaining a $9,600 premium PPO with an out of pocket Max. Labs confirmed wlmy wife and I were D deficient. Next was our second pregnancy. 35F so by literature standards increased risk, mother in law has diabetes. Two visits, one set of labs complete and no A1C was ever completed. These were out of pocket and near $600. Basic, low hanging fruit and it's wholly lost on the providers. "Check with insurance" has already ended modern medicine as we know it. The system just hasn't imploded yet.
