Pi Network constantly upgrades its protocol, but what has changed? Throughout the year 2026, Pi Network (Pi Network) has been introducing protocol updates to the Mainnet on a compulsory basis. The cycle is quite real. But $PI's price doesn't seem to reflect that. For context, the coin remains 97%...

@PiCoreTeam The only purpose of the upgrades is to have something to celebrate every some weeks or month. Where does it end? Maybe never. We can have Protocol 29-32 before December and then maybe up to Protocol 50 by 2027! In the meantime, admin racks up advert revenues by the million $.

🚨 BREAKING: THERE ARE RUMORS YOU CAN NOW CREATE "SAFE TOKENS" DIRECTLY ON ETHERVISTADEX What are "Safe Tokens"? "Safe Tokens" are tokens generated through our SafeTokenFactory smart contract. These tokens are designed to eliminate vulnerabilities such as mintable functions or scammy taxes and come with a standardized implementation. Before swapping, users can easily verify whether a token is "safe" or if additional caution is needed. This marks a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of projects launched on Ethervista. But does this compromise the customizability of ERC tokens? Not at all. The Ethervista Protocol smart contract allows for a limitless range of applications. Take the $VISTA contract, for example. It's a standard ERC20 token, but with the Ethervista Protocol smart contract, it automatically buys and burns tokens. Similar logic can be applied to any ERC20 token using EthervistaDEX’s unique Protocol feature. What other features would you like to see? Wen dashboards? Wen streaming? We're on it—we just hired a full-time full-stack engineer! Special shoutout to Bonzi - FIRST MEME and MASCOT @ Ethervista and Clippy - Microsoft Anti AI Helper @ Ethervista, the first whitelisted tokens. We will continue to strongly support tokens that burn part of their liquidity before the 5-day lock period and those with strong communities and utility. A final note to creators: We would like to emphasize that burning lp-tokens does not alter your share of rewards UNTIL you remove, add, or claim rewards, which automatically updates your pool share ratio based on your current balance and the total lp-supply, as outlined in our whitepaper. This DOES NOT affect protocol fees, which are used to support both the protocol and creators.

Shido has many important milestones ahead this year, with the most significant being the launch of Nova EVM for the Shido Network, including both testnet and mainnet deployments. Nova is a complete rebuild of the Shido Network, featuring a new consensus protocol and a modular stack. This new design will enable Shido to unlock a range of powerful protocol-level features that support real-world use cases and institutional adoption. The Nova mainnet roadmap not only enhances the chain for DeFi and general computation, but also specifically optimizes it for privacy, stablecoin payments, and financial accounting. Key features on the Nova roadmap: • Gas fees paid in stablecoin at a fixed rate, with automatic conversion to the native Shido token. This optional feature removes gas price volatility and makes accounting and cost forecasting easier for businesses. • Optional privacy transactions designed with compliance in mind. While the Shido Network remains a public chain by default, it can support confidential transfers for users when required. • Reserved blockspace for stablecoin transfers. This ensures guaranteed throughput and enterprise-grade reliability for all stablecoin transactions. • Fee sponsorship, enabling gas-free payments for users when sponsored by applications, service providers, businesses, or the foundation. • An optimized token standard designed to support structured data. As Shido moves forward in 2026, detailed milestones and timelines will be announced for specific features and upgrades to the network. Learn more at

1️⃣ How Hypersurface Actually Works There has been increasing interest in how on-chain options liquidity is created and how Hypersurface operates under the hood. 👇 This post breaks down the mechanics. - 2️⃣ How options liquidity works in traditional markets In OTC options markets, liquidity is not passive. When a user sells an option, a desk takes the other side and replicates the payoff through delta hedging. This process requires collateral to secure the position and capital to hedge directional exposure. If the user does not provide collateral, the desk must source capital externally. That cost of capital is embedded into pricing. The result is wider spreads and lower premiums for the user. - 3️⃣ What Hypersurface changes Hypersurface removes the dependency on external desks. Liquidity is created directly within the protocol. Instead of routing flow to third parties, the system prices the option, takes the position, and hedges exposure programmatically. - 4️⃣ Execution and hedging When a position enters the system, the protocol computes the delta of the position and executes a corresponding hedge directly on Hyperliquid. This is not manual execution. It is deterministic and contract-driven. - 5️⃣ Why Hyperliquid matters This architecture is enabled by Hyperliquid’s core EVM integration. It allows smart contracts to execute trades directly on the exchange without transferring funds to externally controlled accounts. This removes a critical trust assumption present in most systems. - 6️⃣ Fund custody and control. User funds remain within smart contracts at all times. There is no transfer to team-controlled wallets, no manual custody layer, and no off-chain execution dependency. All actions, including hedging and settlement, are executed at the contract level. - 7️⃣ What this enables. By internalizing liquidity and automating hedging, the system achieves tighter pricing, improved capital efficiency, and scalability without solely relying on external market makers. Market makers can participate to improve the quote, but they have to compete with the protocol, which results in better, more reliable prices for users. - 8️⃣ Context. In traditional and CeFi systems, similar strategies exist. However, they rely on centralized exchanges, custodial execution, and off-chain coordination. Hypersurface replicates these mechanics on-chain with reduced trust assumptions and full transparency. - 9️⃣ Conclusion. Liquidity is created within the protocol. Exposure is hedged programmatically. Funds remain in smart contracts. No intermediaries. No manual execution. This is how on-chain options infrastructure scales. - Join the Hypersurface community on Telegram or Discord! 📎 📎

Taylor presses THORChain cofounder Chad Barraford on why the protocol wasn't shut down when stolen funds were nearly 100% of one route Taylor: "Okay, so what happened in this case?So the admin key was used as an interim stop. And then the protocol was upgraded to take the actions. In reaction to a situation that was deemed to be bad by the protocol. Chad: "By a 2/3 majority." Taylor: "Okay. So why couldn't you do that in any case where, let's say, the majority of funds on a certain route are known to be directly stolen funds? What you did for THORFi, right? You take an interim action and then you do whatever you want to do." Chad: "Right. So the action you're referring to is, like, turn off trading, for example, right? To be clear, the admin key that we're talking about doesn't even exist in the code base today. It did a while back, but it no longer exists. It was removed, I don't know, a year ago, a year and a half, I don't remember how long ago it was." "But even if it still was around, you want the protocol to turn off its entire system and all the trading that it does, and the source of revenue and income, for 1 to 2 weeks every time some external exchange or external thing gets hacked." Taylor: "I'm advocating for it if that's the only functionality you have, right? And the vast majority of funds. So, like, for example, the XRP to ETH route, right? We can look at the numbers, but it was not 20%. It was not 50%. It was nearly 100% of assets on that route for that period of time that were directly stolen funds." "If you turned it off, I'm not saying a time limit. I'm saying any amount of time, right? That would have cut them off somewhere else, right? And then you wouldn't have laundered stolen funds for DPRK." Chad: "No, that's not right. That's not correct."

In the second episode of Scenius Studio's mini-series "The Use-Case", I sit down with Andrej Co-Founder of touch grass. Grass gives users the ability to earn ownership in the Grass network by supplying the protocol with their unused internet bandwidth for data scraping purposes (something that is already happening to most of us and we don’t get paid!). The grass protocol packages this scraped web data and sells it to AI companies who have insufficient data to further develop their models. With over 3 millions users and millions of annualized revenue, Grass is a real commercial business with a roadmap that makes it one of the most exciting projects at the intersection of crypto x AI and data. In this episode we discuss: ➔ Andrej’s background in physics, finance, and sports betting ➔ Big companies using your IP address without your knowledge or permission ➔ How the Grass protocol puts a toll booth on your internet bandwidth highway ➔ Packaging web scraped data and selling it to AI companies building Multi-Modal models ➔ Dynamics between the Grass Protocol and the labs entity developing Grass’ IP ➔ Protocol design decisions to ensure that all tokenholders (VCs, team, and community) are aligned ➔ Why Grass needed to be built on crypto rails to maximize its potential ➔ The future of LLMs and how they will search for context and information Hope you enjoy this episode of Scenius Studio's "The Use-Case". Monthly WINR Protocol Development Update: To begin with, the WINR Protocol has distributed $900,000 to token holders, generated more than $500,000 in pure profit for liquidity providers on WLP, acquired more than 5,000 users, and has almost 9% of the supply burned. In the upcoming months, the WINR Protocol, which has been in production for years, will introduce a range of new products and deployments. These developments will represent the practical and technical evolution to V2 of the protocol. Here are the latest updates and further details as they progress: Progress on WINR Bonanza, Casino Hold'em, and Blackjack is nearing completion. These games are in the final stages of testing. Additional games, including a new type of crash game, have been finalized and are set to debut with the JustBet v2 launch. Take a look at the gameplay videos for a preview. These games achieve the long-term goal of providing a full-suite WINR Game Engine SDK, which can be used to build games with complex logic on-chain with modular smart contract infrastructure. For example, any grid slot game that dominates the iGaming industry could easily be developed on-chain using the WINR Bonanza SDK. - Permissionless Frontend Operator SDK Dashboard Release: March is poised to be a milestone month with the launch of the Frontend Operator SDK dashboards. These dashboards will enable any WINR Labs game to be seamlessly deployed on frontends, marking a significant advancement in protocol accessibility and integration for future games developed by independent iGaming developers. The frontend operator can deploy any game they choose through a few simple steps while utilizing 10,000 WINR per game via the WINR Game Factory smart contract. Each operator is assigned a unique smart contract address(es) for every game they deploy, allowing their revenue to be tracked independently. The deployment process includes instructions on integrating the game as a package into the operator's frontend. In subsequent phases, the games will transition through WINR Chain, streamlining user onboarding steps like wallet connection and token bridging to Arbitrum. This abstraction will make it easy for any web2/web3 platform on any chain to seamlessly integrate WINR-based games with just a few clicks. The new budget system changes how the revenue is calculated on the protocol and will see daylight with frontend operator, Solana, and Fantom deployments. This model was first tested with a lightweight version on and gave a lot of actionable feedback. Shifting from the existing bribe model, which in practice distributes almost half of the edge of the games in volume to WINR holders, the brand-new budget system checks the profitability of WLP. It distributes a larger part of the profit to game providers, frontend operators, and, most importantly, WINR holders. Any time a game's budget is in profit, a part of every loss is distributed to stakeholders. Here is an example: 1. The WINR Bonanza Game has a 10,000 budget for a frontend operator. 2. Let's assume the bet amount was $50, and Bonanza paid back $10 on that spin. That leaves $40 of pure profit. 3. This is distributed amongst 50% to WLP, 20% to frontend operators, 20% to WINR holders, and 10% to game providers. 4. To achieve this, V2 of WINR Liquidity Engine (WLP) will have a buffer for purchasing and selling, working in epochs to determine the above distribution and math. - Solana Deployment and Expansions: Solana audits are in their final phase, and frontend tests are ongoing. Solana launch will be alongside the V2 launch of @JustBetOfficial, with a chain switch available on the top bar. The VRF system WINR developed already is seeing requests from builders around the Solana ecosystem, and this will over time add an extra layer of income to the protocol. Solana's bankroll, at first, will be a lighter version of WLP but will inherit the above-mentioned budgeting system to generate income immediately upon launch. - Fantom Deployment and Expansions: Fantom's upcoming Sonic upgrade, with its 200ms finality and fast block production is a perfect chain for WINR Protocol to expand. Through the partnership with WINR Protocol will tap into a brand new user base on Fantom. The bankroll on Fantom will consist of FTM and stables. The launch is planned for late March or early April. This expansion aims to open up new markets and collaborations with fresh teams. which operates independently, will integrate a broad spectrum of WINR technologies, including WINR Account Abstraction, WINR VRF, and WINR games, marking a pivotal step in WINR Protocol’s journey of horizontal expansion. - XAI VRF Deployment Progress Update: The WINR Account Abstraction Wallet and WINR Verifiable Random Function (VRF) deployment on the XAI 🎮⛓️ is well underway, with the majority of the work completed. This step forward showcases WINR's expansion beyond gambling and trading, highlighting the protocol's adaptability and commitment to broadening decentralized services. The process to automize and permissionlessly let game developers start using WINR VRF by paying (and burning) fees in WINR will launch alongside WINR VRF deployment on XAI and expand to further chains to help DApp builders with the tooling they need. This process will work very similarly to frontend operators, where DApp builders will be able to easily deploy their VRF contract, pay the WINR fees, and enjoy the fastest random number generation transaction, as showcased on @JustBetOfficial for some time. - JustBet v2 Development Update: Set to launch in March, the last testing phase with long-time community members of JustBet V2 is underway. Boasting a completely refreshed look, JustBet v2 aims to captivate more users with its modern features, a significant upgrade from the classic JustBet designed in 2019. Expect dynamic animations and a user experience that rivals traditional web2 casinos, setting a new standard for online gambling platforms and serving once again as proof of concept for all the new WINR features and infrastructure set to launch over the coming months. As always, WINR Labs simultaneously develops protocol infrastructure and platform to best address the needs of one and only goal: horizontal expansion. Easter eggs: Upcoming Gitbook update with all the technical information of WINR V2. CEX listing. Detailed product pages on WINR web. Pyth competitions. WIP-4 and WIP-5 are ready to deploy. And an 🪂

On Bitcoin, Zcash, and Ore In the early days of crypto, countless Bitcoin forks tried to “improve” BTC by tweaking parameters in the protocol (eg Litecoin). None of them became viable non-sovereign SoV assets, in part because they lacked any true structural advantages. Zcash, however, integrated privacy directly into the L1 protocol. Whether it’s better to shield txns at a higher layer is debatable, but to me, that’s a genuine structural edge that Bitcoin doesn’t have. Ore is the first potential SoV asset that I’ve seen that has multiple structural advantages in that the system generates yield for long term holders and it is natively created on Solana. The ORE protocol and asset being native to Solana means that it inherits all current/future Solana upgrades around performance, privacy layers, and DeFi composability. Since Ore is not an L1 itself, it does’t need to be involved in improving networking, execution, consensus, etc. So far, I have yet to see a viable path for wrapped assets to trustlessly (and without significant friction/fragmentation) become embedded in the Solana eco like native assets/programs. Obviously of the 3, Ore is by far the most experimental. But its advantages are really interesting and I believe it strengthens Solana itself to have a native, non-sovereign SoV asset at the core of its DeFi ecosystem. Regardless, Bitcoin will continue to become embedded in the financial system and remain top dog. But I believe it has merely opened the door. BTC will not be the only SoV asset to reach escape velocity in the 21st century.
