Naval is right. That’s why we’ve avoided investing in consumer hardware. But recently I’ve met too many smart, young founders building it anyway that it’s too compelling to ignore. We’ve built an AI god and shoved it in a text box. Like now what? That can’t be the end of the story. Like mobile before Uber, AI needs a new form factor to unlock entirely new behaviors. AI is infinitely better with more context and context means it has to live with us. Apple won’t do it. They’ve been asleep on AI and are handcuffed by privacy constraints. The winners will be the new generation of founders: unencumbered, fearless, fluent in consumer behavior. They’ll try bold, weird, delightful things to bring AI into our lives and make it feel inevitable. We just have to figure out the form factor. My full take on this dropping tomorrow. If anyone tells you that you need to cut out carbs to lose weight… Run and never listen to anything that person says again ⁠⁠ I’ve gotten to single digit body fat numerous times while eating 2-4 slices of sourdough bread and 1-2 bagels every day every prep Here’s how I do it and how my clients do it too:⁠ ⁠ -We either track macros or build a meal plan around their lifestyle and schedule⁠ ⁠ -We build meals around foods we enjoy⁠ If I make you eat fish and broccoli, and you fucking hate fish and broccoli…I’m setting you up for failure right off the get go. I’m probably one of the only Teslanaires out there, if not one of the very few, still cutting my own hair. I cut my own hair again today, and it reminded me that becoming a multi-millionaire usually isn’t a random coincidence. People see the $ and think it just happened. What they usually don’t see are the small habits behind it. Of course, I could go spend $25–$50 on a haircut that probably looks better than the one I give myself. But that’s not really what matters to me. I don’t care that much about looking perfect. I care about controlling my time. I care about staying grounded. I care about keeping the kind of habits that helped me build wealth in the first place. And honestly, I enjoy doing it. I’ve been cutting my own hair for so many years that I don’t even think about going to the barber anymore. It’s just normal to me now. It saves time, keeps me frugal, and reminds me that wealth is usually built in the small choices nobody claps for. That’s the part people miss. A lot of people see wealth and assume it was luck. But a lot of the time, it’s really the result of small disciplined habits repeated for years. Not wasting $ just bc you can. Not wasting time just bc other people do. And the funny part is, one day my fleet of Tesla Bots will probably be doing it for me anyway. But until then, I’m good doing it myself. Bc to me, being wealthy was never about trying to look rich. It was about building a mindset. A mindset that values time, discipline, and freedom more than appearances. And once you really live that way, it shows up in a lot of things, even something as simple as cutting your own hair.

You probably think you need to do more cardio. Longer workouts. More miles. More suffering. But what if you just made the walk you're already taking a little more challenging? I've been a big fan of weighted vests for years because they're simple. You put one on, go for a walk, and suddenly your body has to do more work without you spending any more time exercising. The data is pretty impressive and one of the biggest mistakes I see people make is thinking health has to be extreme to be effective. Most of the time, the answer is taking something you're already doing and making it a little better. A weighted vest is a great example of that. Just walk.

Hills I will die on as someone who has coached high school football for over 29 years: 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to coach, this profession is not for you. 2. As much as we need to know our trade, getting to know (and to love), our players is far more important. 3. This is an INTENSE game, and it’ll never be “just a game”, but it IS a game. Remember that when you’re with your team, and more importantly, remember that when you’re with your family. 4. Just as we teach our athletes to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our athletes better than they were when they first entered into our program. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every individual. 5. Life is complicated enough, let’s not complicate the game in such a way that we take the joy of it away from others. In other words… Keep it simple. 6. Our words carry little (or NO), value, if we don’t practice what we preach. WE as coaches should be learning and growing each and every day, just as we expect our athletes to. 7. As much as we all want to win those championship rings for our athletes, make sure you don’t lose your wedding ring in the process. 8. The athlete that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Be where your feet are. Don’t fall into the trap of chasing logos and thinking that a higher division, a bigger school, or going from HS to college, or even college to the pros, is going to be more rewarding or fulfilling. 10. The legacy you leave as a coach will never be determined by your wins and losses, but by the lives you were able to change for the better!

Making smart glasses frames was way harder than I thought. Here's what I learned: Materials matter. You can't use normal plastic, because it has to be light and safe to touch your face So we chose TR90 plastic that's made for eyewear Fake gray-market TR90 plastic is common in China. You gotta go to the source and make sure your TR90 is legit Glue is so important. If you put too much glue it will give issues, and add weight. Too little glue, won't stick. That's why it's better for a robot to do it (VIDEO) If the glue doesn't match the material perfectly, then it won't stick. So we tried like 4 glues to get the best one for our smart glasses You design the frame in 3D and then make a tool. A tool is just a metal mold that is shaped like the glasses. You put a bunch of melted plastic (TR90) in the tool, let it cool, and out pops the glasses frame. Do that 10,000 times Tooling leaves seams in the frame, so we figured out where to put the seam so it doesn't cut into your ear when you wear it Obviously this all must be super lightweight because the electronics are heavy The camera needs a certain perspective, so the glasses frame angles the camera down to capture hands in videos Throughout the design process, you can't sacrifice style And now our Mentra Live frames are born

Been building this little brand for almost three years now with Grant Eastey and Ejay ODonnell. That’s my wife and I packing our first orders in our tiny garage that couldn’t even fit a car. But in the end the garage found its purpose. There’s something special about just going for it. We just wanted to make some hats for dads that we didn’t see out there for ourselves. Everything else was dad bod humor, mowing the lawn, ugly sneakers, etc. Being a dad is so much more than that. Being a dad really isn’t any of that funny stuff. That’s just the weird brand social media has given us. We’re about to cross half a million hats sold soon and still see ourselves in that tiny garage. Just trying things. Seeing what happens and doubling down if it works. The brand has become so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t enjoy the notion of becoming a “DTC brand”, just become a brand. Become a community and movement. You should see the notes we get from customers saying our hat helped them become better parents, our hat helped them keep trying to have children, our hat brought their kids joy when their dad passed away, our hat showed up and changed the life of someone deciding if they wanted to go on. I don’t care about the metrics. Obsession over CAC and ROAS won’t create this. Building something with meaning is so beyond any of the acronyms we see here on a regular basis. At the end of the day it’s all about trying. You just need to try. It’s as simple as that. I used to think there’s so much to risk by trying. At the end of the day it’s usually ego or fear. And two things are true. Ego decisions are solely based on your perception of what you’ll look like to others, which will never matter in the end. The second thing is fear. Fear usually only lives within YOU. Nowhere else. You make it up and decide how to act from it. Greatness is on the other side of fear. There’s no pressure over here. I was born into project buildings in Poland. “Making it” happened long before the brand started. Making it was getting out of Poland and into the US at the age of 7. On our pod yesterday Nate Lagos📈 asked me why I even stay on X when having a successful brand. The answer is simple. I personally want to give away as much free game as possible. I don’t know it all, not even close. But I want to help others break through and get their ideas into motion. Everyone is charging for courses and slack access. I get it, but it’s not how I care to move. There’s plenty to go around for everyone and if I can help then I’d love to. Gate keeping is weird. Pass it on. Help others win. Looking back at my time in that tiny garage I miss it. The excitement of a new idea forming. Hand packing every order and writing notes. Not caring if it works but trying and having fun. Going for it. To this day. 95% of all creative is Canva and iPhone. Free Shopify theme. I run all marketing. No employees. Great partners. It’s beautiful. One more time. JUST GO FOR IT.

I work in Nana Plaza, In a GoGo called Lollipop. It comes with a large Thai family Staff, servers, bartenders, and cashiers. Then there are the PR ladies and of course the lovely dancers. On a given night I’m responsible for them, somewhere between 40-60 employees. I watch out for them, Make sure they are safe Encouraging them every night On slow nights, I tell them tomorrow will be better, they humor me and say yes boss. On crazy busy nights after the chaos is over, I thank them as they go home, tell them sleep and rest well, with a “Good Job” for each one. Not sure they know what that means, I sure hope they do ❤️ We are a tight family. I love them all.❤️ We are Lollipop.

I work in Nana Plaza, In a GoGo called Lollipop. It comes with a large Thai family Staff, servers, bartenders, and cashiers. Then there are the PR ladies and of course the lovely dancers. On a given night I’m responsible for them, somewhere between 40-60 employees. I watch out for them, Make sure they are safe Encouraging them every night On slow nights, I tell them tomorrow will be better, they humor me and say yes boss. On crazy busy nights after the chaos is over, I thank them as they go home, tell them sleep and rest well, with a “Good Job” for each one. Not sure they know what that means, I sure hope they do ❤️ We are a tight family. I love them all.❤️ We are Lollipop.

Today, I heard the most wonderful and uplifting thing. Andrew Bragg gave a commitment to leave the Liberal Party if it dropped Net Zero and exited the Paris Accord. A treaty that should never have been signed. It is the shadowy figures behind Andrew Bragg, Alex Hawke and the rest of the useless Labor/Teal-“moderate”-left-faction of the Liberal Party that got the party and the country into this mess. They rolled Tony Abbott, who won a mandate, promising to scrap the carbon tax. They have betrayed that promise ever since. Our energy woes have been a long time coming. We didn’t just wake up one day in an energy poor and deindustrialised nation. We have been under sustained attack for decades, an attack that has been marshalled by the left of politics. They control Labor, they have ruined the Liberals and have overrun just about every institution in the country. It is why the business council, sounds the same as the Australia Institute, and they both sound the same as the Greens. We are a nation in a hole, and Bragg admitted as much in his interview on Insiders today. We really need more coal, because the energy transition is failing. It is worse than that, the transition has failed. It was a bad idea, just like the rest of Net Zero. Our predicament is the result of irresponsible governments across Australia. Labor and Liberal, both have set policies that destroyed coal as the backbone of our grid, as they duchessed the Green grifters around their respective states across Australia. They played along with whatever bad idea the Greens were spouting at the time. Close this facility, replace it with a windmill. No to nuclear. No to gas. Close it, shut it, and replace it with fantasy. Turnbull, Kean, Perrottet, Berejiklian, Andrews, Morrison Albanese, and all of the rest, on a unity ticket that flushed our energy future down the toilet. All because they were afraid to upset Greta Thunberg. Because they were afraid to upset a youth, that they allowed our institutions to indoctrinate into a cult of ignorance. The world is slowly pulling in a new direction. Because hard reality has chased down fantasy. They’re waking up to the monorail that is ‘green’ energy, and ripping out the tracks. The National Party spurred by One Nation have cottoned on, and the Liberals will be dragged into the modern era, kicking and screaming. There is no doubt that if they don’t drop the Net Zero cake, and all of the icing that goes with it, they will never be a party of government again. Which brings us back to Andrew Bragg. Australia would be better off if he was not pretending to oppose Labor from the Liberal benches. We need people in opposition that understand the problems we have as a nation, and how to solve them. Not people who have only ever worked in the industry of politics, sending happy snaps along the way. Bragg knows his only chance at a job in the red house is through the blue team. He knows that blue voters don’t prioritise action on climate. But he sits there wasting a space advocating against the things the people that vote for him want. So if he had any decency, he would go, today. Because with friends like Andrew Bragg, you don’t need enemies. I just want Australia back.

Major Lazer’s origin story is a jumbled up mess. it reads more like a villain story. I knew about Dave (Switch) from being the weirdest and hardest dj in london.. I followed him around endlessly trying to get tips on how to produce better he taught me logic and I threw it in the garbage and learned ableton he was Interested in my local scene in philly - spank rock, amanda blank, santigold, plastic little .. and somehow M.I.A. ⊕ II II II got mixed up in the project as me and Dave were summoned by XL Recordings to make beats for her .. I failed miserably but we did make a mixtape “piracy funds terrorism” and eventually made some bangers like paper planes and bucky done gun.. and dave had a few bangers around town. Mia was always the catalyst for our side project .. we made too many beats for her . we decided to go record them in jamaica because the artists were extremely talented. the jamaican music scene at the time was cutting edge and it was cheap to work there.. we made this major lazer album down there .. and started a little movement that ended up having a few billion streams .. it’s cool to put out Where’s The Daddy now because MIA was the third daddy of major lazer

Today - 43% of Australians, about 9 million people, have less than $1000 in the bank. That is about 9.2 million people. Also today, Jim Chalmers was running victory laps at the National Press Club. He told us they’re doing a great job managing the economy and have big plans for our nation - as he bounced from slogan to slogan. At some point Labor must stop campaigning and start answering for the mess we are in. A mess the political class have made. The establishment in Australia are so poll driven, so focused on the next sound bite they don’t seem to understand that their plans are not working. Too many Australians are worse off today than they were a decade ago. Housing, groceries and the everyday basics slipping further and further out of reach. Crime increasing as the situation worsens… and yet, the National Press Club in their pant suits fawn over every word that falls from Chalmers. He tells us the Labor government is modernising our electricity grid. As electricity becomes unstable and expensive. How very modern. He suggests they are “seizing the opportunities from Net Zero with a future made in Australia”, as long-standing businesses that used to make things here – close down for good. It sounds to me like he should instead have a PhD in spin. Not that the Australian media has much interest in questioning him. They don’t call out the obvious sloganeering and the absolute dishonesty – the whitewashing of the real situation of the Australian not privileged enough to sit in the club. Worse still, our economic situation is corroding, and it is the government that pours on the acid. Instead of talking about real problems and real solutions, Jim delighted the establishment crowd juggling balls of distraction drenched in sophistry. IT would seem that the big end of town doesn’t really care about Australia; they have the money and mobility to go anywhere – they’re global citizens. Their companies can make things anywhere. The media just want access, so they only ever go so far with their critique. The big banks are too big to fail. They don’t mind the digital cage closing on the rest of us… after all they have the keys. Oh… by the way, Chalmers will help our economy to digitise with a digital ID. That ought to fix it for those who are struggling. I think the government is out of its depth. The economy is getting much worse for real Australians - quickly. The establishment is immune, and the bubble is thick. We don’t really need the newspapers to tell us that it is getting tougher, or that Chalmers is more focused on his slogans than practical solutions. We can see that for ourselves. However, we do need significant cuts to immigration, cheap reliable electricity and a lot less regulation across the board. We need to transition back to an industrial economy. If we don’t, we will not recover – no matter what Dr. Jim says. I just want Australia back.
