(April 24, 2017) Dramatic footage shows armed Somali pirates shot down during mid-sea hijacking attempt The clip begins showing a speeding boat approaching the giant vessel as guards can be heard discussing their next move. “Fire warning shots,” a voice instructs, as the men begin to pepper the water surrounding the oncoming boat with bullets. Undeterred by the gunfire, the speedboat continues to plough forwards before ramming alongside the giant hull of the sea cruiser. The chaotic scene continues to unfold as shots ring out around the men, who can be heard shouting “where they at?” while firing wildly into the ocean. Eventually, the camera steadies, showing the boat drifting far behind their ship.
