And the reality is that a lot of users NEVER enter the listing. They search for something, see the app in the search results and download it directly from there. So the important update here is the new Search Results image. It's an app banner inside the App Store search results. And you should think about it as a persuasive ad. $EVERYONE SAYS AI CANNOT INVENT A VISUAL METAPHOR i asked Seedance 2.5 for "a person in a desert catches a small cloud in a plastic bag." one sentence. one generate. went to refill my water. 00:00 – a desert. flat sand. tire tracks. a small white cloud hovers a few feet above the ground. a pair of hands holds an open plastic bag beneath it. 00:04 – the cloud drifts down. it touches the bag opening. moisture beads on the inside of the plastic. 00:07 – the hands close the bag. the cloud sits inside it. it's the size of a grapefruit. condensation drips down the sides. the bag sags with the weight of water vapor. 00:10 – the hands lift the bag. the cloud shifts inside. light refracts through the wet plastic differently on the side facing the sun. i paused on that last frame. the refraction is correct. the side of the bag facing the light is brighter. the condensation acts as a lens. the cloud's shadow sits on the sand below at the correct angle. nobody prompted "condensation as lens." nobody prompted "cloud weight sags the bag." the model understood that if you put water vapor in plastic, the plastic gets wet, and wet plastic bends light. Making smart glasses frames was way harder than I thought. Here's what I learned: Materials matter. You can't use normal plastic, because it has to be light and safe to touch your face So we chose TR90 plastic that's made for eyewear Fake gray-market TR90 plastic is common in China. You gotta go to the source and make sure your TR90 is legit Glue is so important. If you put too much glue it will give issues, and add weight. Too little glue, won't stick. That's why it's better for a robot to do it (VIDEO) If the glue doesn't match the material perfectly, then it won't stick. So we tried like 4 glues to get the best one for our smart glasses You design the frame in 3D and then make a tool. A tool is just a metal mold that is shaped like the glasses. You put a bunch of melted plastic (TR90) in the tool, let it cool, and out pops the glasses frame. Do that 10,000 times Tooling leaves seams in the frame, so we figured out where to put the seam so it doesn't cut into your ear when you wear it Obviously this all must be super lightweight because the electronics are heavy The camera needs a certain perspective, so the glasses frame angles the camera down to capture hands in videos Throughout the design process, you can't sacrifice style And now our Mentra Live frames are born

This will forever change how power users switch apps on MacOS MacOS is full of animations. Switching to an app means repeatedly using cmd + tab or using power tools to assign a hotkey to the app. Even if you are using the hyperkey on Raycast to open apps, you will still be faced with the animations if the app is on different desktop. I've completely solved this pain point in the latest release of SuperCmd Here's what's done 1. Completely eliminated the animation, the hotkey will instantly switch to the instance of that app, even if it's on a different desktop 2. If there are multiple instances of the same app, e.g., 4 cursor projects, it will cycle through all the open windows of that app. (even VSCode / cursor supports cycling through windows only on the current desktop) I've long wanted to solve this issue for myself, and it has been the biggest bottleneck in my productivity. I see this as a huge win for power users, specially ADHD bois! SuperCmd 1.0.7 is out, but I wanted to dedicate a post to this specific feature first. No one knew what the app truly looked like, so weekly a bunch of designers would get into a meeting room and check that the engineers correctly implemented the figma designs that they made Now with coding agents throughput of changes has increased an order of magnitude and it has become impossible to manually keep up. Here we used the Revyl CLI to create a flow of every state in the Uber design, by navigating our mobile use agent on an cloud iOS simulator. This is something that would have taken a team of designers tens of hours to recreate manually; All done in less than an hour asynchronously with a simple prompt. Last night I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Edinburgh Tattoo for the first time. 👌 Why I have never been before is beyond me. 🤷‍♀️ It was one of THE best experiences I’ve ever had. 🙌Overwhelmingly good. Made me so proud to have worn a uniform. If you have never been, u simply have to put it on the bucket list! I also had no idea until the end that the show does not make a profit, it’s all for forces charities! An extra special thanks to Alan the show director and Laura for hosting my family so warmly. I played my dad the videos in his hospital bed this morning and he cried upon hearing the ‘Skye boat song’. It holds some special memories for him and my mum. And to ALL the team involved in the tattoo this year, you made my family’s dream come true. Have an AMAZING month! 🫡🙏🫶

Not a single Paul Thomas Anderson movie is the same Different subject matter, different genres, so you’d assume different audiences However the same people that went to see his last film, came to see One Battle After Another So the demographic isn't dependent on the subject matter The demographic is just, Paul Thomas Anderson fans The software industry has long told that you need to work on one thing, for the rest of your life That’s not how art works tho, is it? Can you imagine telling Jay Z “Great job on the blueprint, now iterate on that same album for the next decade” The landscape of tech haas been stifling the growth of creators by not allowing them to explore other interests 6 months ago I said no to this "requirement", despite what everyone told me, and continued to drop what I liked every week The second a trend was happening on Tiktok, I had the app out that week Somehow 6 months later, the world is conforming to this ideology Instead of software creators limited to making apps for one audience and one niche, there’s a new world of ephemerality and expression What if instead of optimizing for users, we optimized for fans Making apps that are expressive of your life, your commentary, your heartbreak Garnering an audience that will follow you through each step of your story Each of those steps being its own app Why shoot for daily active users when you can get daily loving fans When fans use your app, it’s not just about resonating with the story, the app places them IN THEIR OWN story Here’s an example You’re a 20 year old girl who’s at UMiami You scroll through Tiktoks in your dorm room about “mogging”, a trend to outshine your friend in a photo You laugh and share videos seeing celebrities mog each other, but that’s the extent of it Then at Danger Testing we make an app called mog or not, where you and your friend can upload a photo and AI tells you who’s mogging Now you’re at the bar with your sorority sisters, playing all night, whether your winning or losing it’s the time of your life cause something is finally about YOU ENOUGH OF WATCHING MOVIES LET’S MAKE YOU THE MOVIE LET’S MAKE YOU THE STAR AN APPSTAR

I've written 6 published peer-reviewed studies on voter roll irregularities for the Journal of Information Warfare. JIW is focused on cyber security and the use of information to conduct war. The fact that their reviewers decided to publish my papers tells you something: their cyber security experts consider the threat posed by corrupted voter rolls to be so serious that it could be classified as an act of war. And what are the findings? In brief: 1. Count of voters who voted changes with every snapshot for old elections (can't tell who or how many people voted in any election) 2. Presence of substantial numbers of illegal records makes it impossible to know how many qualified voters exist in any state surveyed. 3. Unusual algorithms used in some states to assign ID numbers can be used as covert data channels. 4. Photographically identical signatures on registration applications evidence forgery and identity theft. 5. Backdated registration dates indicate falsified data pertinent to question whether votes made were legal. 6. Presence of purged records creates large pool of records that can be used to generate illegitimate ballots. There is more, but the bottom line is this: The rolls are the heart of any election, yet they are so compromised they aren't fit for use. Would you board a plane with its engines on fire because the airline painted "Completely Safe" on the fuselage? That's what voting with these rolls is like.

I had a good meeting with U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. I’m grateful for their participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, as well as in the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. It is important that the United States joined this format – for the first time. Our current priority is bolstering air defense. Russia is aiming to launch attacks involving up to a thousand drones at once. That is why it is crucial to scale up protection, particularly by investing in interceptor drones. We also discussed the continued supply of weapons from the United States and joint weapons production. We are ready for different formats, including purchasing a large defense package from the United States, jointly with Europe, to protect lives. We also touched on the bill introduced by Senators Graham and Blumenthal regarding additional restrictive measures against Russia and those supporting its war effort. Without a doubt, this is exactly the kind of leverage that can bring peace closer and make sure diplomacy is not empty.
