Making smart glasses frames was way harder than I thought. Here's what I learned: Materials matter. You can't use normal plastic, because it has to be light and safe to touch your face So we chose TR90 plastic that's made for eyewear Fake gray-market TR90 plastic is common in China. You gotta go to the source and make sure your TR90 is legit Glue is so important. If you put too much glue it will give issues, and add weight. Too little glue, won't stick. That's why it's better for a robot to do it (VIDEO) If the glue doesn't match the material perfectly, then it won't stick. So we tried like 4 glues to get the best one for our smart glasses You design the frame in 3D and then make a tool. A tool is just a metal mold that is shaped like the glasses. You put a bunch of melted plastic (TR90) in the tool, let it cool, and out pops the glasses frame. Do that 10,000 times Tooling leaves seams in the frame, so we figured out where to put the seam so it doesn't cut into your ear when you wear it Obviously this all must be super lightweight because the electronics are heavy The camera needs a certain perspective, so the glasses frame angles the camera down to capture hands in videos Throughout the design process, you can't sacrifice style And now our Mentra Live frames are born

At Uber a big problem for design teams and engineering teams was design source of truth. No one knew what the app truly looked like, so weekly a bunch of designers would get into a meeting room and check that the engineers correctly implemented the figma designs that they made Now with coding agents throughput of changes has increased an order of magnitude and it has become impossible to manually keep up. Here we used the Revyl CLI to create a flow of every state in the Uber design, by navigating our mobile use agent on an cloud iOS simulator. This is something that would have taken a team of designers tens of hours to recreate manually; All done in less than an hour asynchronously with a simple prompt. A heartbreaking choice between milk and diapers… Because of the unbearable prices of both, I was left with no option. But I found no other way except to put a plastic bag on him as a substitute for diapers—leaving him with painful rashes on his fragile skin. 6 months ago we were dropping a new app every week No one cared We’d randomly get 10k users on an app But they came for the app, not the person The thing is, I don’t care about making a retentive app for one audience I want to be a retentive person ~ for my audience What if I was the app? Not a single Paul Thomas Anderson movie is the same Different subject matter, different genres, so you’d assume different audiences However the same people that went to see his last film, came to see One Battle After Another So the demographic isn't dependent on the subject matter The demographic is just, Paul Thomas Anderson fans The software industry has long told that you need to work on one thing, for the rest of your life That’s not how art works tho, is it? Can you imagine telling Jay Z “Great job on the blueprint, now iterate on that same album for the next decade” The landscape of tech haas been stifling the growth of creators by not allowing them to explore other interests 6 months ago I said no to this "requirement", despite what everyone told me, and continued to drop what I liked every week The second a trend was happening on Tiktok, I had the app out that week Somehow 6 months later, the world is conforming to this ideology Instead of software creators limited to making apps for one audience and one niche, there’s a new world of ephemerality and expression What if instead of optimizing for users, we optimized for fans Making apps that are expressive of your life, your commentary, your heartbreak Garnering an audience that will follow you through each step of your story Each of those steps being its own app Why shoot for daily active users when you can get daily loving fans When fans use your app, it’s not just about resonating with the story, the app places them IN THEIR OWN story Here’s an example You’re a 20 year old girl who’s at UMiami You scroll through Tiktoks in your dorm room about “mogging”, a trend to outshine your friend in a photo You laugh and share videos seeing celebrities mog each other, but that’s the extent of it Then at Danger Testing we make an app called mog or not, where you and your friend can upload a photo and AI tells you who’s mogging Now you’re at the bar with your sorority sisters, playing all night, whether your winning or losing it’s the time of your life cause something is finally about YOU ENOUGH OF WATCHING MOVIES LET’S MAKE YOU THE MOVIE LET’S MAKE YOU THE STAR AN APPSTAR

"As a Starlink terminal communicates with satellites overhead, it continuously builds a real-time obstruction map, allowing Starlink to dynamically understand its environment. With this information, it can proactively select the best and most stable connection. For dynamic obstructions, such as are encountered by mobile terminals, the system reactively switches in less than 1/10th of a second, allowing a connection to remain stable. The dynamic nature of Starlink combined with the many paths for the system to route traffic provide a high degree of resiliency in obstructed and changing environments. Additionally, to help customers get the most out of their service, the Starlink app includes a built-in tool to preview the install location and guide customers to the best placement with the fewest obstructions. After setup, the Starlink app provides a live obstruction map that shows exactly where signal blockages are occurring and how they may affect your experience, so that users can make informed decisions about optimizing their installation. I've written 6 published peer-reviewed studies on voter roll irregularities for the Journal of Information Warfare. JIW is focused on cyber security and the use of information to conduct war. The fact that their reviewers decided to publish my papers tells you something: their cyber security experts consider the threat posed by corrupted voter rolls to be so serious that it could be classified as an act of war. And what are the findings? In brief: 1. Count of voters who voted changes with every snapshot for old elections (can't tell who or how many people voted in any election) 2. Unusual algorithms used in some states to assign ID numbers can be used as covert data channels. 4. Photographically identical signatures on registration applications evidence forgery and identity theft. 5. Backdated registration dates indicate falsified data pertinent to question whether votes made were legal. 6. Presence of purged records creates large pool of records that can be used to generate illegitimate ballots. There is more, but the bottom line is this: The rolls are the heart of any election, yet they are so compromised they aren't fit for use. I had a good meeting with U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. I’m grateful for their participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, as well as in the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. It is important that the United States joined this format – for the first time. Our current priority is bolstering air defense. Russia is aiming to launch attacks involving up to a thousand drones at once. That is why it is crucial to scale up protection, particularly by investing in interceptor drones. We also discussed the continued supply of weapons from the United States and joint weapons production. We are ready for different formats, including purchasing a large defense package from the United States, jointly with Europe, to protect lives. We also touched on the bill introduced by Senators Graham and Blumenthal regarding additional restrictive measures against Russia and those supporting its war effort. Without a doubt, this is exactly the kind of leverage that can bring peace closer and make sure diplomacy is not empty. I simply want to remind people that I serve in the Marines of the 37th Brigade in Ukraine. I enlisted for freedom, for honor, and for love. It has been my dream since I was six years old. Today, many men are fighting on the front line. Some are Ukrainians, others are volunteers from different countries. Coming here to fight is not about ego. It is not about recognition, medals, diplomas, or thanks. True commitment means being able to stay in the shadows, in the middle of hell and in the worst moments. It means being ready to sacrifice your life for something greater than yourself. I have almost died so many times that I have stopped counting. But I am never alone. By my side are my brothers in arms. Today we work more than twenty hours a day. We repair drones, we fly them, we hold our positions, and we simply protect the sky to save lives. That is what matters most. That is the greatest honor. Here, nobody measures who has the best status, the best diplomas, or the most medals. All of that is just material things. When you stand face to face with death and survival is all that matters, only one thing remains: the brothers standing beside you. And maybe that is the greatest gift of my life — finding a true family. A family united by a common purpose: working together for victory.
