Playing Ace Combat 5 on stream made me realize quite a few people didn't know about the secret final tunnel run that lets you destroy the Solg right away

It's so hard and implausible that the majority of players don't think it's even possible. Snow even gives the player the hint when he says "threading the needle" 😭

I read once that it's not even possible on a lot of the larger planes (not sure how true that is but it's why im usin the lil training plane here) which im sure didn't help people think it was doable ;-;

i believe it! i tried it with the f-22 on my last run and the plane just blew up before even touching a wall

What's funny is that this straight up isn't possible in larger planes. Your wings hit the sides far, far too easily. I know the Fishbed, F-20A, and I think maaaaybe the F-16C?

hundred times better to not speak of it. I'll never mention it to anyone on their first run of the game, as it'll ruin the experience of the song, and will be hyper focused on achieving it by all means

Yeah I think its the nuclear warhead you destroy if you do that. So the mission ends immediately as the SOLG is useless now. Though I think it was intended to be the final phase but it was scrapped. At least until Infinity's version and now likely AC8.

Down right hard with bigger planes. Tried it with the F14 once. Felt like a masochist right after. You only try this run with big airframes if you really, really hate yourself😂

Oof I didn't know that! The fastest way I did it was using a YA-10B with its FAEB, carefully dropping it from the outside. Double tap and it's gone, and it explodes in a similar fashion to the one in the cutscene (though you can't see it during the gameplay, only through replay)

Cuándo salió Ace Combat 5, y lo compre al termino de la última misión descubrí esto (tunel) y que puedes destruir las 4 plataformas con la metralla, pero debes tener cuidado con los pedazos. Saludos.
